Travedge
Jeez I should look up my stats on 360, ps3 an now ps4. Got to be over 2000 total at least, an counting. Mister Pink
chronic lumbago
Got over 800 on the 360 but if I had to count the deleted characters, my first character who had over 160 hours and got overwritten, times I died without saving in the wild then it's easily 1000+ hours and I got over 90 hours out of the special edition. JOSEPH X
Just looking on Steam at my game hours, it came up in a facebook discussion of 100+ hours of games and I have quite a few that are cracking on for 1000, but Skyrim somehow has 2398 hours logged, thats 2 hours away from 100 full days... Am I a freak? Whats everyone at? I think I'd logged that many hour 1 year after realease. And yes, I'm a freak Mister Pink

Am I a freak? I can't say so. In the era where a lot of people are playing certain titles just to follow trend, buying a game solely to get the platinum trophy to gain other people's approval and applause, you instead spent time in the game you are truly enjoying. It's superbly respectable in my view.
Mister Pink
Playing Skyrim again after my last save a while back got corrupted somehow. I lost a bit of progress but slowly back to where I am. Putting Skyrim on again is like coming home. I really love this place. If there is a heaven, I bet it looks like Skyrim. 21:6
Love this game so much I bought SSE at full price on PC. I could've got it free at the time but I didn't have Hearthfire unfortunately. Recently bought the Special Edition just so I can defeat Alduin a couple more times. My 32 bit Oldrim always crashes and the frame rate is sketchy at best so 60 FPS on Skyrim with better graphics and a more stable copy is worth it to me seeing how utterly brilliant this game is. Was sad to see the achievements do not carry over though, as I completed Oldrim 100% but with this new copy I feel like a war vet who had his medals taken. Mister Pink
Nice, I'm going for that perk too. Unlocks at level 50. I'm only at 33 right now. Pity you nuked the guy and he didn't come back. It's pretty funny though. Thought I'd also share this screenshot. You know those lovely Skyrim late mornings and afternoons when the sun is shining and the sky is blue. It had been raining for some time, you just been underground for 24hrs in-game and then you travel through the night and dawn and then morning breaks and everything is so calm and peaceful... Zook
paid mods A great idea. Why shouldn't modders be paid for their services, it might increase their quality too. The response from gamers to paid mods just shows they are the most entitled and toxic community on the internet. chronic lumbago
paid mods A great idea. Why shouldn't modders be paid for their services, it might increase their quality too. The response from gamers to paid mods just shows they are the most entitled and toxic community on the internet.Hold on a second and think about it. I like the idea of less restriced, polished and certified mods to play on my PS4 and hell, I'd gladly pay to support the modders. But: They're going to milk those games for 2-3 more years at least at this rate. I know that I want to see TES6 as soon as possible. Instead they give us a remaster and now more paid mod support. If this will be a sucess then who knows how long it's going to keep TES6 away from us. It reminds me a lot of GTAO, a game that's still being milked today with no sign of a sequel. Coin
This new implementation is not really anything like the "wild west" that was the steam workshop fiasco. A lot more promising on paper. But: They're going to milk those games for 2-3 more years at least at this rate. I know that I want to see TES6 as soon as possible. Instead they give us a remaster and now more paid mod support. If this will be a sucess then who knows how long it's going to keep TES6 away from us. Paid mods will have no impact on TES 6's development what-so-ever. Don't be overly dramatic. Releasing mods in a form of DLC is actually really something good for PS4 players due to restrictions. Maybe I overreacted a bit.
Coin
This is less paid mods and more like contracting third party developers to make content for your games. To summarise:*Heavily curated; application process (so not everyone can just sign up and get in on the $$$), existing mod content cannot be retrofitted for creation club etc *Creation club members can't actually just make whatever they want. They've got to submit pitches and have them approved. *Creators are subject to Bethesda's dev pipeline (uuhh.. teehee) and everything is subject to full Q&A. Content is localized across all (five?) languages the game is available in. *Creators don't get paid a percentage of the sales (unless things have changed). They're paid a salary (of sorts) throughout the content's dev process.

chronic lumbago
I think it's a shame they're only selling things like armor, weapons and gameplay changes. PS4 players can't download custom armor, howewer some limited gameplay changes are allowed. I'd give beth my money if the sold us some quest mods and new landscapes. That's what got me really pumped about mods in the first place. A cool armor piece won't make me go back to the game, especially if I'd have to pay for it. KilnerLUFC
So, for some reason I just couldn't get in to Skyrim for my 360 - Think I felt like I was a few years late to the party, and with the immense scale of the game, felt a little put off trying to immerse myself in to it all so late on, but it's a definite purchase for my Switch, might help with it feeling like it's a 'fresh' game, and portable mode means I can spend more time on the game. Leftist Bastard
I just plain didn't like the game. It's impressive at first but eventually becomes plain tedium and all the cracks begin to show in so many areas, from the technical to story telling and quest design. It's a lot of fun to mod, though. Skyrim rerelease was old news, even before the release of switch it was heavily rumored. Edward Nashton
Question for any of you savvy laptop gamers out there, I normally play on my desktop PC, so I'm not too familiar on how laptop hardware handles video games. My laptop specs are intel HD 620 graphics, i5 7200u, 12gb RAM - I'm wondering if this can run original Skyrim worth a damn, hell, or if it can run Special Edition (not holding my breath, though). I can't seem to get a straight answer from anywhere else.
