Tracksuit Hitman
Cool man. You have me sold on the Vampire quests. Are they a part of DLC or where they always in the vanilla game? I notice more Vampires randomly attacking people in villages that I never noticed before. Yeah I know that Thieves Guild achievement you speak of. Without spoiling too much I'm pretty sure you have to complete a certain amount of burglary missions that Delvin and Vex give you. I still haven't got it myself as I got bored. I'll defo go back and get them sorted. Yep, I'm the exact same, carry a bow for Dragon attacks. Maybe rarely whip it out if I want to go for a long shot. But I find using the bow too slow if you want to progress through the game. A good Axe to the face usually works well. I'm also curious about the Dark Brotherhood. My character was relatively good but I've taken a darker twist after the Thieves Guild and Nightingales corrupted me. Now I'm a man out for myself but extend that to my Nordern brethren and hence helping the Stormcloaks. But I'll find myself double-crossing people if I can, like woman from Redgaurd and the guys after her. They all got whacked and I took all the loot. I wasn't sure of that myself so I just had a look and it looks like they are a part of DLC (the Dawnguard DLC). I mean you can easily miss the quests by declining when offered the chance to become a vampire but why the hell someone would do that I have no idea. Without saying too much, you are given a (very) small quest in which you can be given back mortality. Ah I thought as much with that achievement. I'll get around to doing some of their missions but it's not something that takes priority. I feel as if those side-missions that certain factions offer can become too repetitive. I haven't come across the Dark Brotherhood yet either but they've got my attention too. Have you done the Aventus Arentino quest (the one to do with the orphanage)? If so I suspect you'll know what I'm referring to. I decided to join the Stormcloaks yesterday. The quests are pretty fun tbh and some of what Uflric says makes sense. Definitely worth jumping in and out of the quests. aka geobst
JON22
I never joined a side on the 360 and don't plan to on Xbox One too. I know it's just a game but I'd feel bad if I had to kill any of the yarls. I bought the Legendary Edition of Skyrim for 360 just so I could keep Meeko as a pet safe at home. That was my first priority on Xbox One as well. On another topic, look at the size of this potion!!
PoeticWhisper
Still have like 5 achievements then I plan on going hard on mods. I just need to pick pockets, which I never, ever do. And get to level 75 so I can fight a legendary dragon. Get some more deadric artifacts, Get 1000 gold bounty's in all the holds, and somehow I haven't read 50 skill books. I think I need like 2 more, or some sh*t, lol.

I never bother pick pocketing either, i found a good way to fast level it though if your interested, it can also be combined with the 1000 bounty in each hold achievement if you end with riften: get arrested in riften, pick the lock (if needed place a few lockpics in a container in the cell before you get arrested), then kill the 2 guards, recover items from box, find a prisoner and start picking his pocket, no penalty if spotted as your already in jail, can start picking his pocket again as many times as you want, just keep putting gold in (around 100-200 to begin with, also helps if you have enchanted gear or potions with fortify pickpocket), then taking it out, increasing amount by 100 gold every 10 levels or so, should level up each time you successfully steal the gold I just got the platinum trophy yesterday, i think it was over 450 hours played, so longest playthrough of skyrim i've ever done, grinded all the remaining skills to 100 just so i feel like i've completed everything (or close to at least). The last trophy i got was to get all perks in the werewolf tree, was relatively easy until the end, i needed like 3 or 4 more feedings before i had the last perk, and a legendary dragon appeared, i could not fight it in werewolf form as i would die in seconds, so i ran, and kept running into other enemies while low on health so had to keep running past hiding spots, i must have ran from the volcanic region south of windhelm all the way to the lake by riften, went into the manor on the island there and waited for about 15 minutes to revert back to human form (after waiting 15 mins i realised i could just press the wait button to pass time lol), luckily i was not followed in by the mercs. i'm going back to fallout now though, need to take a break before i try the skyrim mods. Still need to do vault tech and nuka-world dlcs on my second character, then i'm going to start a 3rd and mess around with mods. Legendary Dragon will probably be my last achievement since it requires a lot of grinding levels and such. I got the werewolf and vampire perks the same way. I went down the river from Markarth to solitude and killed mudcrabs and forsworn until I got all the perks I needed. I also didn't realize you could wait out the werewolf stasis by "waiting". I always sat around and waited. That would've been really helpful, lol. Edited December 10, 2016 by PoeticWhisper

Yea lol, wish i knew to begin with, sucks i found out after getting the trophy, at least if i ever use beast mode again i will know how to end it early. With grinding the feedings, after i spent about 10 minutes around the reach killing forsworn, i read that the best way to grind is along the coast, so i started my next beast mode shift at the lighthouse near solitude and went along the coast to winterhold then windhelm killing anyone and anything without a unique name, then started going north, by the time i made it to riften i had unlocked all perks, although after i finished my first run in the rift i used soul trap on a few enemies i'd killed as werewolf, for some reason casting soul trap gave me another point towards a perk, even though i was human at the time. So that was about 15 or so points extra. With the vampire lord i went on a rampage killing anyone non essential (made sure to create a hard save before as i was only in it for the trophy, unlike beast mode which i still have the perks), killed everyone i could in markarth, solitude, whiterun and some other town, was fun not caring about killing the wrong person lol, Lord Harkon would be proud of me if he was not a pile of ash. JON22
My OCD is really ruining mods for me. I always have to run along the road from Riverwood heading in the direction of Ivarstead to see if it crashes when heading up that hill near Fort Amol. Tried Skyland, Surreal Lighting and Skyrim is Windy. Did my usual run. 2D trees once you approach the stone bridge near some farm close to Ivarstead. f*ck console graphic mods. Mister Pink
Did you try the new game, then load and fast-travel fix? ^ Not sure if it's related to the exact problem you have but it's fixing a few people's issues. So, f*ck this game. I was fighting Alduin when I died and then when a quarter of the way in to the loading screen it makes this horrible noise and the game crashes. Does it for the previous 6 or 7 saves. So if I want to play again, I have to lose half of my money (about 20,000's worth) drop a bunch of levels and replay some long missions. It's so disheartening. Here's the thing. I don't use mods, or abuse the console in any way. I'm not turning it off as it's saving or anything. Or maybe I did.. I'm willing to accept the fact that it could be my fault. If it stops me from doing it again, I'm happy to accept I f*cked up in some way. I read that you should wait at least two minutes after saving before switching off your console. Could this be it? But surely it saves locally and on the cloud? I wouldn't turn it off immediate after saving. And, why is it Skyrim. I've played a lot of games on my Xbox and that's never happened. Craigsters
There's now a official pinned [WIPz] Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE64) thread from the SKSE64 dev team at nexusmods forum Sounds like they'll have a beta version up and running by March the thread link above mentions "You don't understand! JON22
Should've read the mod description lol. Had to disable all npc altering mods to use Equilibrium Rogue Like Encounters as they could bug it out. Not disabling them also stopped the execution at the beginning because npcs were spawning causing everyone, including the executioner, to run around fighting. OnceAgainYoungFitzpatrick
Good lord, is the 1.3 update for the Special Edition ever going to get released for Xbox One users? It's been out for PC since December and been out for PS4 since January 9th. I haven't played Skyrim in my life before and I own the Special Edition, so I'm waiting for Bethesda to release this 1.3 patch so my first playthrough of Skyrim can be as smooth as possible. For any Special Edition owners, are there a lot of technical issues for Xbox One? I really want to have a good first experience with Skyrim. Also, are the 3 DLC packs required to play after you finish the main story? So, basically, does it add or compliment the main story or is it simply just more side missions/small quests to do? My save file corrupted randomly after I died. I lost half my money as the nearest save as a good bit back. Nothing from Bethesda. I gave up on Skyrim and picked up The Witcher 3 which has been a great experience so far. I don't wan to put you off Skyrim especially if it's your first time playing it. It's a wonderful game except for the bugs. Personally I wasn't affected by anything else that I noticed apart of the save being corrupted. Only game on my Xbox One that's happened to. Anyway, hope you enjoy it. I would play it any way regardless of the patch. There's so much to do early-on and most issues seem to arise hours and hours in to the game. Mister Pink
That's why you need to make a new save like every ten seconds. Ha, I know and check this..Joking aside, I'm I'm mindful of that. Whatever happened it corrupted most previous 7 saves, so it wasn't just one save. It's like there was a bug in one save and every time I saved after it that it just copied the bug over and over. Mister Pink
When I was fighting Alduin, I died. When it tried to reload it made a noise and kicked me out of game. When trying to reload, all the previous save points I made for that day and some previous days they all did the same thing, crash the game. I had to go back about 7 or 8 save-files before I could find one that would load, losing a bunch of progress and coin. 🅵🅴🅽🅸🆇 🅵🆄🅽🅺 🅵🅸🆅🅴

Sounds like massive data corrupt, probably because of crashing during save data load, although usually should only affect the file which was being loaded. JON22
I like mods but everytime I disable or delete a mod I always end up starting again because I'm paranoid of breaking my save. I've started again more times than a gold digger looking for their next victim to exploit. f*cking hate having to clear my cache too everytime I disable, re-order or delete a mod, especially because I have to manually turn off my Xbox One to do it instead of clearing it through a menu like on 360. Too clonky for a p4 game To be honest it took a few hours for me to start noticing the difference. The graphics really shine when it's sunset/sunrise and all the new lighting effects come in to play. Also, there's remembering what game looked like in your head and the reality of it. I suggest playing it for a few more hours. Usually the first sit down with a game, I find is adjusting time. Even going back to an old game like Bully, I thought it looked bad but the second and third time I put it on, it felt like I was looking at those graphics at the time. Play a few more hours and then go look at the PS3 version. Then you'll realise how much it's improved. Also, turn the depth of field off. As a photographer, I'm appalled at the misuse of depth of field where it's unnecessarily thrown in to games now, especially they they try to make it dynamic, usually it activates when it's unneeded. You'll appreciate the draw distance. Edited February 27, 2017 by Mister Pink 🅵🅴🅽🅸🆇 🅵🆄🅽🅺 🅵🅸🆅🅴
Creed Bratton
DOF is only appropriate in cutscenes IMO, and only if it's subtle enough just to give more focus to the characters and other important things in the scene. That's why it exists in the movies, isn't it? As far as gameplay DOF is concerned, it can be useful to hide bad LOD in the distance. Especially bad foliage. I can see it was used heavily in GTA IV but didn't look natural to me. Everything looked too soft. Great use of it in The Witcher. It's not on the open-world but it's used tastefully in cutscenes.
