nightwalker83
This is bit off topic but how long do you people usually have to wait for the game to load when travelling inbetween areas? Sometimes it takes ages for me and other times only a few seconds. Yeah same here. This is on Xbox (playing from disk). Sometimes the game will run okay, other times the load times can take 1-2 minutes, and will randomly pause to load areas, and sometimes just freeze altogether, pah. I forgot to mention I'm playing on pc. Also, with me every so often after a get to these loading screens ans I ctrl +alt + del to bypass them and the game quits on me some of the time. Forty
I think Glass looks better, but I'd probably go with the higher stats. The best one-hander in the game (apparently), Chillrend, has the glass sword model though. You could try getting that eventually I have read about that on here, but I'm not going looking for it. It is in Mercer Frey's house in Riften. You could break in I guess, or do the quest that takes you in there. Git. what?
mrpain
I've been getting some cool new executions lately. One was a dual dagger slash stomach and slice throat move while another was just jumping and stabbing some poor dude. The trick is to get the enemy to around 15% of his or her health. Do Bound Weapons have executions too?
Jake
I've been on about a week break from Skyrim after nonstop play since release. Some of my sanity is returning. But I'll be lured back in, I know it.
mrpain
So just made the decision to juggle between two characters right now. I've just created a new male Orc name Baztard. Planning to make him a full mage and spells only dude once I get that Bound Battleaxe spell. Fits my RP perfectly. You see a massive Orc thinking he's gonna charge you down like a tank but nope, he's intelligent and master of the wizard arts. Got my Destruction to level 30 and Two-Handed to level 26. And I have not even left the tutorial dungeon.

Cheat
Since armor has been discussed a lot here recently, I have Steel Armor with 53 Armor. As far as I know, no piece armor should provide that much armor, at least by default, and the Steel Armor itself should only provide 34 armor. It's weird, I haven't been doing any sort of smithing or such to it, I found it at some sort of a Shrine of Talos somewhere in the backwoods on my travels. I think your heavy armor skill might have an effect on it. I have steel armor that has like 74 I think. Because my heavy armor is level 50. I'm aware of that, but I don't recall ever upgrading it while leveling up. Must've accidentally read books about it etc. EDIT: Well, turns out I've upgraded it twice and I'm at 38 heavy armor. Must be the case.
Greenline
I've left Skyrim, for ever. It was a great game, but everything has to come to an end, especially a life-destroying monster like this. So, I did the main quest and I put the game aside. I'm probably going to give SR a try for the first time.
JOSEPH X
I've left Skyrim, for ever. It was a great game, but everything has to come to an end, especially a life-destroying monster like this. So, I did the main quest and I put the game aside. I'm probably going to give SR a try for the first time. OK see ya next week! Just finished Boethiah's Calling, and it took about 8 hours just to do the last part. I tried to play without sneak for this character and had only put one rank perk into it. Didn't even have a bow and was level 16 archery (I read a skill book accidentally) when I got to Knifepoint Ridge. If you've not done it yet, you have to kill 14 bandits stealthily outside and inside a mine I managed to get in undetected but thats when I used up all my potions killing Boethiah's Champion. I got outside again and there's 10 quest markers walking around it must have took ten reloads to stealth kill each bandit Sent Aranea home to do that quest and sacrificed Faendal. I'm using wards a lot more now I'm playing on Master. If that was expert I'd just walk over and kill him. Put some lighting into the dark Hjerim courtesy of xbox mods. Did you know that torches respawn when you walk out and back into the dungeon or mine you got them from? It does make loading times longer tho when you're entering and leaving Edited January 25, 2012 by JOSEPH X

Knife
I haven't played that bit but AFAIK you have to give it to someone in the Thieve's Guild and can't keep it if you want to continue that questline. What you need is the 'lockpicks never break' perk

AZAZEL
i killed my wife as a werewolf and now i can't remarry If you're on PC, you can do this: Kill your spouse, (better if you do it while staying in your house, to avoid bounty) Enter console command Setstage RelationshipMarriage 10 Use the console command 'resurrect' on your ex-spouse Use the command setrelationshiprank player 4 on him/her to keep the relationship status obtained with the npc related quests). You don't need to drop or sell your old Amulet of Mara, but remember to wear it while looking for a new partner.
nightwalker83
Just returned from Japhet's Folly and noticed that when you are returning to the boat that your follower keeps getting killied by the firestorm (or whatever it is). However, he/she will respawn at the exit where you started from. I also noticed that if you leave your follower behind and run back to the boat he/she will automatically follow you thus bypassing the firestorm. Creed Bratton
Over at official Bethesda forums, some members are reporting massive performance boost with latest beta patch, Some even over 100%!!! I am not going to install beta, but I can't wait for the official patch to be released. Still, I will only install it after I'm sure that it won't f*ck up all the mods I'm running. darthYENIK
Marriage is pretty lame. If you have a spouse that owns a shop, they'll give you money everyday, but other than that and maybe a homecooked meal, there's nothing really to it. King Of Monra
Lvl 58. I just told the jarl in whiterun about the dragon attack, and have spoken to the greybeards (I had already found alot of words before going to the greybeards, including the 1st word of the sprint word, so they tought me the 2nd word. On the main story, I'm to get the horn, but I'll wait before I do that. (about the new patch) loading takes forever, and it starts to lag alot when entering a new place, after a minute or two it goes back to being quite smooth, still is annoying though. gtamann123
I just went and saw the Greybeards today (level 21 and have almost 35 hours of play) and after the teachings were over i got the "Horn of Jurgen windcaller" quest and turned it off because i didn't want to go all the way to an un explored location of the map yet. So I went to Riften and killed that orphanage lady for aventus and then after a couple hours of messing around i decided to do the "battle for Whiterun" quest. After seizing Whiterun i returned to Windhelm to talk to the Jarl and grind my smithing a little bit and got a letter from a courier saying "We know". And when i went to bed in Breezehome i woke up in a shack talking to a dark brotherhood chick, I killed the Khajit BTW and after i left the shack i spotted a dungeon on the compass and headed over there to appease my curiosity. After i explored it for a little bit i was amazed at how big it was once i got to the room with the word wall so i headed to the Skyrim wiki and looked it up. And i was surprised when i read that it was the location of the horn the Greybeards wanted. So i continued on and eventually got all the way through and found the note where the horn was supposed to be and that's where i stand now. So i basically did the quest by accident without even knowing about it. I love this game lol.
Forty
Marriage is pretty lame. If you have a spouse that owns a shop, they'll give you money everyday, but other than that and maybe a homecooked meal, there's nothing really to it. Yeah it's mostly useless. I married this chick Muiri who you meet on a Dark Brotherhood quest and she asks you to kill someone for her, and afterward she's available to marry. But then she glitched out and the only thing she would ever say was "Thanks for taking care of my....problem" over and over even though, in Skyrim terms, that was years ago and we're f*cking married now. So I killed her and left her body by the fire in Breezehome. f*ck her. JOSEPH X
My Dark Elf has a Dark Elf wife. She always says, "You and me? We're the only people in Skyrim worth loving, that's what I think." and when I've finished shoping, "Leaving? Take the world by storm dearest." We used to live at her place before we moved to Windhelm and I had the option of asking her if the store had made any money - what fkn store? Now that we're in Windhelm and she's opened the store I can still say to her, "There's a lot of Nirnroot arond here?" LMFAO apart from "What have you got for sale?" it's the same dialogue menu. The best was Pavo. Every 5 days he'd ask me to clear The Forswrn out of his mine - "I've cleared 'em" - Ka-ching 1000 septims. The game even starts and finishes the quest simultaneously. mrpain
So I'm finally taking a break from Skyrim. It pains me. I want to play it, but I gotta finish up all my Shepards for Mass Effect 3 first. Plus Battlefield 3 is one hell of a distraction. Oh well, my Baztard, the Orc Mage I've just created, can wait. Shame though, I really like the way I've created him.
