I just don't wanna play Skyrim anymore, the switching characters all the time ruined it for me. Couldn't help it sad.gif

Then just play one. It's perfectly feasible to have one character that can do anything.

Just a little question: Do you guys think I should move my Lydia Shrine to Riften, keep it in Breezehome or move it to the hall of the dead in Whiterun?

I'm starting to regret selling my copy. I had a blast for three weeks, sold it for a profit and have now re-established my social life, which all sounds good, but f*ck me would I love to go back to Skyrim for a few hours now.

Who needs a social life anyways?

Got the game a full two months now and I told myself a some time ago I'd better start the main quests again and get the Horn from the Windcaller... but doing sidequests and dungeons is just so much fun!

But on the other hand, I really need to be able to FUS RO DAH all over the place.

Is there a way I could see how many hours I put in this game. I went to stats but it was divided to 4-5 categories.

I do. I'm in awe with most of you who has two or more characters. I suspect you guys have a time stopping machine and lets you play Skyrim during that period of time stoppage. Or you're all robots. Yeah, robots seem more plausible.

Here's a fun fact, this year is the year of the Dragon so any babies born this year would literally be a Dovahkiin.

You're talking about RL right? tounge2.gif I got the game for Christmas only been playing for the last 109 hours. I didn't actually start playing the game until a week after I installed it on my pc.

Mati has got his life back.

Well, I've made 50 hours with my second character. I only played trough the MQ once. In total, I completed all guilds without the imperials. I'm playing Skyrim just for 1 hour a day right now. There's still a sh*tload to do out there, but I'm cutting it to shorter sessions. I've also got better at school again and almost got a new girl tounge.gif

That's about to change when the DLC shows up. Right now, I'm enjoying real life biggrin.gif

Try switching between first and third person views. You're going for the satchel right, not her body?

I not sure what I need to go for, in the journal it just says remains.

It's only the necklace from the satchel you need, then prepare for a horrible decision.

Describing "The Mind of Madness" to a non-gamer has been the highlight of my experience with Skyrim thus far.

"I'm inside the mind of a dead, homicidally insane monarch, and I'm trying to grow his confidence with a Wabbajack so he can defeat his self doubt! Now, sssshh!!"

I think it's time I get on with the Main Quest.

Yeah, I send Lydia to retrieve the contains of the satchel because the command pointer was bigger than the normal do-it-yourself pointer when targeting the object.

I painted my character. I call it "So I'm supposed to go into this vampire's lair alone?"

Does anyone know an effective strategy for fighting mammoths? I had to kill one for a quest and I ended up just jumping on top of a rock where it couldn't hit me and spamming it with fireballs. I killed it but it didn't feel like much of an achievement.

That's how I feel about damn near every cave/fort/ruin/etc. Having now cleared more places than I ever have, I can say there's no f*cking way I would've been able to survive without Lydia and a dog.

Master difficulty don't play.

Ranged weapons would probably be best. If your smithing and enchanting are high you could create a high level Bow (Glass or Daedric/Ebony depending on which path you followed) and then put an enchantment on it such as Fire damage which should make short work of it. I don't think melee combat would work as well considering its a lot harder to circle around them than giants and they can't be knocked over with Unrelenting Force.

Sneaking + arrows.

Takes me three arrows to kill one.

@Joseph, yeah followers will use the giant's club, or so a friend of mine says, never tried it my self but he said it occasionally dose the glitch where it'll one hit someone and send them into low orbit just about.

can't wait to see that!

Was talking to him over facebook he says there’s a few videos of it, on Youtube.

I honestly haven’t used companions to much, I plan on rectifying that, I have used Vilkas quite a bit though, seeing as he’s essential. Would use my wife Aela, but she’s unessential after you marry her, so I’m waiting to make her better armor. Like I do for all my companions, give them some home made gifts from the hart, things that they can stab other harts with. Before my old save died, I had Lydia tanked out in Legendary Ebony armor, she and I made Lybrinthiyan our bitch.

As for fighting Mammoths, and giants for that matter, I have an odd strategy. Seeing as my main nord is a battle mage, I pelt the hell out of them with shouts and spells, while summoning allies, while they're off balance I flank them and then Melee the hell out of them. Usually I lead in with the Marked for Death shout, honestly it has to be my favorite shout once you get all three words.

You should leave them for now, you will feel allot more badass by killing 3 at a time + 2 giants. rolleyes.gif

Takes me three arrows to kill one.

Pffft, took me only an arrow to drop them. Even without sneaking.

If you're going for the range option, just sit back and rain down the arrows on them. Try to get on a terrain that's impossible for the Mammoths to climb up on. Same goes for Giants.

As for melee folks, whack and run and whack and run. It's impossible to sneak up close and personal and do a backstabby on them. They have ultra hearing ears I guess. No matter how sneaky I get behind them, they would always turn around and smack me in the face.

False.

I've managed to sneak up on everything, 2-3 backstabs and they are down. (2-3 on the giants)

Which is better?

Windhelm house or Markarth house?

Markarth by a long way. There's barrels in the alchemy lab so you can separate your stuff into Ingredients, potions, alchemy gear and potions for sale. The enchanting lab has a dresser outside for unenchanted gear, and all the smithing things are ten seconds outside your door.

I use Hjerim only because I'm RP'ing a Dunmer badass who didn't like the way his race were treated in Windhelm.

Upped the difficulty to master for my dunmer yesterday, even tho I just scraped thru Ansilvund on expert. I'll take some time to convert Aranea from a robed mage to a battlemage in full Orcish + enchants.

Will I be able to reach every skill at a maximum level?

Yes, it's possible. Provided that you don't have a real life to attend to. Once you gained the big hundred for all skills, you'll be level 81. Can't go any higher than that. Or can you?

Will I be able to reach every skill at a maximum level?

Yes you can reach 100 in every skill, which will take you to level 81 overall. That means you get 80 level-ups and get to choose 80 perks. There are 250 perks divided among the skill trees, so if you are going to do one playthru and reach level 81 you aren't going to get to use them all.
