Should be interesting to see if this patch actually fixes the PS3 issues, as a Fallout: New Vegas developer said due to the wya its allocates it's RAM it will never be able to run as well as 360.

 

Also good to see they're trying to fix as many bugs in quests as possible.

Jeez! That's the scariest thing I've seen in Skyrim. Cute things that kill freak me out.

• Fixed occasional issue with armor and clothing not displaying properly when placed on mannequin’s in player’s house. (PS3)

• Long term play optimizations for memory and performance (PS3)

• Fixed issues with placing and removing books from bookshelves in the player’s home

• Fixed issue where weapon racks and plaques would not work correctly in player’s house if player immediately visits their house before purchasing any furnishing.

• Bows and daggers will display properly when placed on weapon racks

Some of the best news I've heard today.

 

Fast travelling to Battle Born farm from out west today, and I had a random dragon encounter. Awesome! Killed him with fireballs while he was chasing a Sabre Cat down the river. I gotta say, my new magic kitty is starting to work out nicely.

When will that new update be coming out? And kind of a random question but how so I put weapons on those display racks in my house? I've tried everything and nothing has worked.

You're supposed to be able to walk up with the weapon in your hand (one at a time I think) and then by hitting the action button place it on the rack, removing it from your inventory. Unfortunately, a number of the weapon racks seem to be broken - personally, I had 3 houses (Riften, Markarth, Whiterun) and Breezehome was the only one that had a working weapon rack.

And some weapons are unable to be racked properly, like the Skull of Corruption and I think the Ebony Blade. The Skull just falls off immediately.

Try switching between first and third person views. You're going for the satchel right, not her body?

Managed to get two of Skyrim's unkillable NPCs to duke it out in a fight to the non-death. I was walking out of The Pale Imperial Camp after speaking to Rikke when I spotted a Stormcloak camp on the radar.

 

Thought I'd get them to chase me to the Imps and start a mini-battle, which they did. The Imps wasted the Stormcloaks, but there was also the captain among them who eventually ground them down one by one until it was just him and Lieutenant Rikke.

 

Needless to say the fight between them could have gone on indefinitely, and it gave me time to capture some of it on my phone.

 

 

 

I understand NPCs being vital to quests, but why didn't Bethesda make it so they didn't get into fights? Or that the player couldn't fire at or try to hit them? It's really dumb.

I once had Lydia fighting against Mercer. Mercer kept owning her.

Definitely the Ebony Blade too. I lost count of the times I had to pick it up and placed it back on the rack over and over again.

Breezehome is the one where I can't get it on the rack. I draw the sword and walk up to it but I have no option to put it on.

Damn! Rushed thru the civil war to get Hjerim then bought all the furniture at the same time. Went in and there's still the leftovers from 'blood on the ice'. I know there's a clean up you can buy, but can I get the dialogue option off Jorlief? Nope.

Make backup saves. I have two saves for each of my three characters. Just every time you stop playing now you save twice instead of just once.

You can also save in the cloud if you're playing on the 360 and I think Steam too, don't know about PS3 tho. If you're on 360 go to:

 

SYSTEM SETTINGS > STORAGE > HARD DRIVE > GAMES > SKYRIM

 

You then get the list of saves that you have in Skyrim. Select the one you want to store in the cloud and you get the option to MOVE, COPY of DELETE the save. I choose to move mine to the cloud, so I only play off one character on the hard drive and don't get confused. So the next step is:

 

MOVE > CLOUD SAVES.

 

Then you can delete all the surplus saves of that character and start a new one.

 

I have nine characters in the cloud and one I play off on the HDD so I never have to worry about overwriting.

 

So I did the last three missions of the civil war, bought the house, then visited it. Went back to Jorlief and got the clean up dialogue options. Phew!

 

I'm lugging all the stuff from the farm to the new house and I clean out Aranea's inventory of everything...

 

 

It's from a few days ago when we killed a giant. I was looting around the camp and couldn't take the club even tho it showed the option to. Asked Aranea to and she did. The club doesn't show in her inventory but does on her back. Not seen if she'll wield it yet.

I'll need to see if one of my friends will let me use there internet to patch the game then if they do solve some of those memory issues on the PS3, get's annoying, even though it dosen't happen to often it causes unbearable lag, worse than New Vegas in some cases. I also need that maniquin fix...makes me mad I can't use the maniquins in Hjeim, and the Dawnstar sanctuary.

 

Oddly enough I've never had the issue with Oblivion, and only had it with FO:3 when I was doing the expansions on the GoTY edition.

 

@Joseph, yeah followers will use the giant's club, or so a friend of mine says, never tried it my self but he said it occasionally dose the glitch where it'll one hit someone and send them into low orbit just about.

I guess that's the most logical choice. Everytime I get off and do my "final save" I will save to two slots and then it I overwrote one by accident it wouldn't matter.

I also recommend saving in the third person camera. That way it is easier to identify your character and not save over him, because you'll see him in the screenshot.

You know, I do that too, but only because it's a habit I developed in Oblivion, and not for that reason...I just think it looks cool.

I'm moving from Breezehome to Honeyside today. I'm gonna pack all my stuff and try my best to get everything in Honeyside.

It turns out Camilla has another husband, Faendal. I'm gonna make sure to kill him on one of my travels, don't want his dirty elf feet touching my new house.
