Robinski
What is strange is that seemingly the entire world knows about Aventus Whatshisface performing the Black Sacrement, but nobody has decided to intervene in the fact that this kid is living alone in a house and has a corpse up in there. "Game logic" I guess.
Quiteso
"Game logic" I guess. Indeed, sometimes I have guards comment on my awesome armour or "Hail, stormblade!", and other times it's "So I hear you're that new member of the Companions... so you, what, fetch the mead?", bitch I'm Harbinger of the Companions

vertical limit
Yes, you have to go to a house in Windhelm to start the Dark Brotherhood questline. People in Whiterun will tell you about it if you talk to them. Alright thanks, cause I really want to join them along with the circle. Narcis, yep! Some queries I have, beware spoilers. My friend told me that when you are going to meet the leader of the Graybeards there will be a dragon but don't kill him because he is "cool" is this true? MrcTOtheJ
So I started that Khajiit I had planed before, I really haven’t been playing on that save to much…but I’m impressed, it took two hits for me to kill a bear, with nothing but my hands. I think I’m going to have fun with that save when I get the fists of steel perk. After that I think that Imperial save will be next, my first Female character of Skyrim. I’m still working on her back-story, tragic a like my first nord’s was. (I know I’m a nerd, so what if I make a small outline story to go off of ) @Fireguy dude that sucks I know what it’s like to lose a save, my Lv.41 Nord Battle mage with 100 One Handed, and 90 something Conjuration was corrupted a few weeks ago. I liked him so much I started a recovery save though. (Now a level 30, done with the companions and Dark Brotherhood. So far) @JOSHEPH X Nice, yeah I’m having her be a bit younger, in her mid 30s about. And she was just young when they died. (changed her age to 35 so she’d be about 3 or 4 during the great war if I’m not mistaken) I’m going to have be loyal to the Empire though, despite hating the Thalmor, she thinks that the empire will need to be united when the peace with the Thalmor ends. She was actually going to re-join the legion in Skyrim, it’s why she was crossing the boarder. Yeah she takes after her dad more than her mom, her dad who fought sword and board in heavy armor that is, where as her mom was half imperial half Breton battle mage, the only magical skills she has is with Restoration. (She was a healer in the legion) I still haven’t thought of a name, been leaning towards Marie Vinci. Sounds somewhat imperial, and Marie is kinda Breton sounding alluding to her partial Breton heritage.

Quiteso
Well I just had my first Elder Dragon. Damn they're tough. I had to fully use everything I had to beat it; fire resist potions, attack potions, Berserker Rage, and using the landscape to my advantage (rocks/trees for cover etc.). He was kinda kicking my ass 'cause his fire breath would take me out in near one hit, but as the fight progressed I stumbled upon an Orc Stronghold. They all got involved, giving me the chance to properly attack the dragon, and emerged victorious Just when I thought my character was getting too strong
SIKKS66
Still yet to fight a dragon. Well, I did the first one, but reloaded an old save so I could explore Skyrim without the fear of being molested by a winged hellbeast. I plan on doing all the dragon quests at once as soon as I'm done exploring. It seems I have to make my guy join the College of Winterhold to get myself the Thane title. I'm too much of an RP nerd, doesn't seem right having my warrior Nord with his big f'ing sword go poncing around with a bunch of book-reading, spell chanting muppets. Cheat
It's frustratingly difficult to figure out how hard will an opponent be to take out - I just pretty much traveled from Whiterun to Orphan Rock just to get assraped by a hargraven. Eventually you'll find the sweet spot. Also, if you have enough lockpicks you can find an expert lock (some of the giant camps near Whiterun have Expert chests) and just keep breaking picks on purpose to level up. Don't put any perks into it though. Once you hit around 60 the sweet spots become huge and you can't miss. Besides, lockpicks aren't in very short supply, and you'll get better at it with practice. I picked an expert lock with level 20 picking on my new character today and only broke one pick, because I had so much practice with my last guy. Forty
My pickpocket is at 93 and I've not put a single perk in it. It is not hard at all, especially if you've done it in previous Bethesda games. When you are spamming Muffle to level up Illusion, does it only count if you wait for the effect to wear off before recasting it? Or can I just hit it over and over as fast as I want? I don't use the skill that often. This was my first Elder Scrolls game so I grabbed everything not nailed down at first. Search every nook and cranny for goodies and picked any lock I could find. I think I was at about level 60 by the end of my first playthrough. Lockpicking goes up faster if you fail to break the lock I heard. Why was it no fun? Maybe because it was cheating too much. When your Illusion level is at level 15 or so, you only need to use Muffle once per level to level it up all the way to 30 or 40. GTA-King
Fenrir is dead, long live Fenrir. My level 37, max smithing, almost max enchanting, one hand, archer Wood Elf is no more. I made the mistake of saving him in the "prisoner" save slot that defaults from the game beginning. As some PS3 owners here may know (and I only found out a few minutes ago, too late) that means when I created my new character just for experimentation... my old guy was automatically overwritten and my hours upon hours of progress were lost. Now all I have is a big magic level 1 kitty. I guess I learned my lesson the hard way. Multiple saves from now on. My Nord character is named Fenrir. Fenrir Van Zan. Fenrir means "evil wolf" which only makes since for my character to be a werewolf. And Van Zan is the last name of Mathew McConahey's character in Reign of Fire. So this is actually the first time I am posting in this topic. I've always read through it, but have never posted in it. Anyway, I just finished all the guilds, The Dark Brotherhood being the last (epic by the way). Last thing I did was level up my smithing to 90 and made some badass deadric armor. I can't wait to try it out tomorrow! I was just wondering. Who do you all think is the hottest wife? Personally I think it's Aela the Huntress. That's who I married. Plus she's a werewolf like me. So I guess you can say she likes it doggy style!

So I guess you can say she likes it doggy style! I went for Shahvee since I'm playing an Argonian, but if I had to choose which I find to be most attractive, I would probably say Mjoll. Both for looks and personality; contrary to what one particular Gray Mane would have you believe, I am not afraid of a strong Nord woman.

Quiteso
I think blacksmiths and the occasional general goods merchants (and probably others) sell a few for a mere 5 gold each. I always check to see if merchants have them whenever I'm buying/selling stuff, can never have enough lockpicks So, I keep hearing about this Dark Brotherhood, and I'm interested to seek it out. How do you join them? What are the quests like? Are they like assassination quests with emphasis on sneaking? 'Cause that sounds pretty fun. How many other guilds are there by the by? I think all I know of are Companions, Thieves and Dark Brotherhood, any more?

Quiteso
Oh yeah, I forgot about those two. I'm in the Bards but I don't think I'll do College of Winterhold on this character, as he's more a warrior-type. An arena would certainly be cool... has there been any news as to when we might see DLC?

Jeez, it's making me afraid of moving on when nine times out of ten whatever's ahead ends up being impossible to take out. I've successfully outrun/retreated quite a few random encounters in my early levels. As for caves... I wouldn't enter an unknown cave unless you either A) Are level 20+ at least, or B) Have a well armored mercenary and are level 15+ at least or C) Have a sh*t-ton of potions you don't mind wasting in mid-fight. Also just like KOTOR, you can save leving up for when you are close to dying as a cheap way to regain all health, stamina and magicka.
JOSEPH X
Managed to get two of Skyrim's unkillable NPCs to duke it out in a fight to the non-death. I was walking out of The Pale Imperial Camp after speaking to Rikke when I spotted a Stormcloak camp on the radar. Thought I'd get them to chase me to the Imps and start a mini-battle, which they did. The Imps wasted the Stormcloaks, but there was also the captain among them who eventually ground them down one by one until it was just him and Lieutenant Rikke. Needless to say the fight between them could have gone on indefinitely, and it gave me time to capture some of it on my phone. I understand NPCs being vital to quests, but why didn't Bethesda make it so they didn't get into fights? Or that the player couldn't fire at or try to hit them? It's really dumb.
