Two characters, over 200 hours of gameplay, and I just stumbled across M'aiq The Liar for the first time in Skyrim. I can't believe it took him so long to appear.

I accidentally killed him the first time I spotted him, mistaking him for a necromancer I sniped him with an arrow and then when I moved up to inspect the body I was all, "M'aiq!! NOOOOOOOOooooo!"

 

Reloaded the last save from there.

I had assumed the rascal was unkillable. My mitts tire before can dice the little kitty.

 

Talsgar the wanderer has taken it upon himself to sketch out a starring role in my current venture in to the land of Skyrim. With every meeting spot seemingly reserved exclusively for an encounter with the man himself.

 

It doesn't bolster immersion greatly in meeting him for a third time along the same stretch of road but I must say his rendition of The Dragon Born Comes offered a great backdrop as I crept down the hill toward the Halted Steam Camp to commence pure slaughter.

 

As the inevitable battle did etch its way closer to the bard he did not stop his song. Only when the last gullet was spilt did he finish his final note.

I thought that he was essential and can't be killed. Not that I would ever even consider trying to harm him.

Just discovered an Orc stronghold. As an Orc, with my Orcish armour, I fit right in the chief welcomed me and we greeted eachother with a brawl (with me as the victor, of course!), now to mine some ebony for my next set of armour.

I think I might be confusing M'aiq for another character, because I killed him and his wiki page says he never dies. It was a Khajiit outside Solitude I think, he was in a caravan with a bunch of other Khajiits. Strange.

So as I was doing the last quest for the Temple of Love, I was told to

Go the old love while wearing the amulet, as I was approaching the location I

saw a Dragon so I went to the dragon to defeat and when I got closer I saw a

beam of purple and dark blue clouds emerging from the under a pile of big rocks

and BOOM a dragon skeleton pops out and reform its skin and it bites and I respawn to Whiterun.

M'aiq is always alone, and is the only character that doesn't sound like a doofus when talking about themselves in the third person.

 

Managed to get the riften guard outside my wife's house killed without getting a bounty (thanks dragon). I have a bug which means I have to break in to get my stuff. He followed me in one time and arrested me. So I paid the fine and fast travelled back to find him stuck in the house where he stayed for several days. My wife goes hostile when I break in too, so I get my follower Aranea to do it.

 

Don't know why the dragons keep attacking the farm, my wife is unkillable. I just use healing hands on Aranea and let the two of them deal with it.

 

Damn those unkillable characters, they really break the immersion.

Today I had Dragon Encouters in Solitude, Dawnstar and Windhelm, and all that in one hour play time

Ya know, I really don't like that we can't store gear on dogs. I can pull hundreds of pounds worth of armor and weapons out my ass, but a dog doing it....no that's ridiculous.

Really? On New Vegas Rex carried all 200 pounds of my excess ammo. Don't know why they'd take that out.

I think the difference being that Rex was considered an intelligent follower. He would fight for you, you could tell him commands, etc. The dogs in Skyrim aren't quite the same.

So my Stray Dog keeps disappearing in Whiterun. Every time I enter Dragonsreach, he just vanishes. I leave him outside and enter Dragonsreach, he vanishes. I leave him outside and all the way down the stairs from Dragonsreach, he vanishes.

How do you get the dog to come with you? Is it a dialogue thing?

Back away from the console, brother. Time for a breather.

That's weird. He usually comes running to you when you're traveling on the road near the shack.

I robbed this dude Fultheim of his katana and enchanted it with soul trap, smithed it up a bit. Renamed it Kusanagi. I run around through the woods choppin sh*t up to fill my soul gems because I'm playing around with a lot of different swords and staffs right now. Come to think of it I might have hacked Meeko up thinking he was a fox or a wolf. I won't rule it out.

 

I really like using Sanguine Rose in a tight spot. That dremora is a beast.

 

I noticed that on the introductory Dark Brotherhood quest where you have to kill one of the three people in that shack, one of them is named Fultheim. I don't know if it's the same guy, but I had already taken his sword thankfully because everyone in that quest is unarmed by that point. I always opt to murder them all.
