Jaymond Flurrie
So I read some walkthru about the game and it said at least somewhere that "make sure you do X before Y to get 100%", but could someone list me all these things so that I won't mess up at any point? edit. Found one myself, unfortunately. Ambulance missions have to be done before making enemies, because those patients will happily stay in places where your ambulance is destroyed under a time unit. Jaymond Flurrie
Let's put here a more specific question: I now miss Patriot Playground as the only side mission from Portland. Is there any reason to do it before "starting" the main game, or can I just leave these Off-Roads to the very end of my 100%? edit. I got that one completed Edited December 12, 2010 by Jaymond Flurrie Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/464737-what-before-what-to-100/#findComment-1060243114 Share on other sites
Jaymond Flurrie
Got the game completed with 99%. Absolutely no idea which mission I missed, but I got just 72 of 73. Arsen Vitiuk
First off, watch in your stats for the folowing challenges: - Partiot Playground - A Ride In The Park - Gripped! - Multistorey Mayhem - Rumpo Rampage - Casino Calamity - Mafia Massacre - Diablo Destruction Then, check out all the mission icons on the map. Note that several mission icons will apeear only if you're in a specific area. Make sure they do not appear which means you've completed all related missions. And finally, check out the unmarked phone near Bitch'N'Dog Food Factory. If it still rings, get to it. radioman
Also, you MUST do ALL of Joey's, and Luigi's missions before doing Sal's last mission "Last Request" or you will seal those off since that is when the Mafia starts hating you..Also, do ALL of Kenji's missions before Donald Love's second mission, or you seal Kenj's jobs off, since you kill him for Donald Love. The R3 missions and Off road missions and Toyz vans can be done anytime without too much hassle. Make sure to knock out the Rampages and Unique Jumps on Portland before the Mafia hates you to make it a lot easier on you...as well as the Hidden Packages on Portland before this time too... However, if you're on PC, Demerest has created a fix for this problem, if you have any sealed missions...I think Spuds(the VC Moderator) has all of Dem's code tools and fixes? If on Console, you pretty much have no choice but to start a new game if you accidently seal missions in game. Arsen has covered the Marty Chonks phone missions-they are easily missed, since there is no visible marker to initiate them like the other phone missions, thus you must listen for it to ring... Remember, on the Police, and Fire missions, you MUST do 20 per island, unlike VC onwards where it was just level 12 on any island. Also, Paramedic must be done in 3 stages(thanks to Demerest or Justin(moderator), can't remember which, for pointing this out to me), it must be done til you get the notification for the Health icon is delivered to safe houses/adrenaline icon at safe houses, PLUS level 12 for infinite sprint. Also, there is another glitch, but this doesn't usually appear until the 2nd + attempts through the game, but apparently, on the one phone mission in shoreside, on the 2nd + attempts at the game, there will be no gang members spawning that you need to shoot, which will make the mission unpassable...fortunately, there is a fix for this to, thanks to Demerst, that I believe Spuds should have...OR you might be able to get it off Dem's site tfads.com via Archive.org, it has most of his code tools, but on the ones that's not there, you can see if Spuds has those... That's about the only problems I can think of which might impair your shot at 100%...Hope this helps..Thanks to Arsen Vitiuk for helping cover these. Claude Speed.
There's a checklist here: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=403463 The way I like to do it is I complete all the side stuff before I start with the storyline. Some of the side missions get harder as you advance in the game, when the gangs start to hate you and shoot at you. Edit: For f*cks sake, radioman, use some f*cking spoiler tags! Edit 2: Here's a link for the fix for the glitch radioman mentioned, just in case you need it: http://www.mediafire.com/?r1v3x6102vg8mj8 I also included a readme in the archive. All credit goes to Demarest for designing it, I had nothing to do with that. Edited December 20, 2010 by Claude Speed. radioman
Edit: For f*cks sake, radioman, use some f*cking spoiler tags! Just a heads up, the reason I didn't use Spoiler tags is because this game(GTA III) is 9 years old, and pretty much everyone has played it at some point...so, it's not so much of an issue like it would be in the IV and EFLC sections...otherwise, I would have used them...
