meson1
How are AI drivers rude and impatient? Is it because they push past you when you're waiting at the lights? If so, then that is because the AI is unable to determine the context in which your car is stopped. It cannot distinguish between the player queuing and the player's car merely being stopped in the road. The AI doesn't generally push one NPC driver past another. That is because it knows what other NPC drivers are doing because the AI controls them. But it doesn't know why the player is stopped. And so to prevent traffic coming to a complete halt when the player stops his car in the road, the AI is programmed to find a way past, hence the NPC drivers seem rude and impatient. It's missing the bit of code that is needed to detect that the player is queuing for the lights or the toll or whatever. I suspect that such a piece of code may not be straightforward to write. [Edit] Playing the game, the way I get round this is to gently rock the car back and forth by just a few inches whilst queuing. This slight movement is enough to make the AI drivers hold station behind you and stops them from barging their way past. It's a bit of a pain having to do this, but it works. Magic_Al
The AI in San Andreas seemed a bit smarter about stopping behind you at lights. It could always see that the light ahead was red and it wouldn't push you unless you were stopped at a green. (Not counting the occasionally spawning "crazy driver" that was intentionally erratic.) San Andreas vehicles were controlled in a more top-down way, compared to GTA IV where drivers/vehicles seem to make individual decisions based on line of sight and behavioral goals -- often bad decisions. D5 Driver
Well the taxi driver who yells "stupid malaka!" is quite rude. Thats what the Rocket launcher is for, friend. That's right! And they are very annoying, when they stop front of some1's body... And they can't even drive! Usually I am "the best npc" for driving in GTA IV Anyways, I hate taxi drivers! And I have gotten my REVENGE, already

It could just be because it is set in NYC. Home to the worst drivers in America. Honestly. And they say us New Jersey drivers are terrible.
