vurt Posted December 6, 2010 Author Share Posted December 6, 2010 oops didnt notice there were a characters forum. yeah it's a bit flat because its just easier to get a smooth looking body without visible seams where the different parts of the meshes connects, it's really smooth compared to the original. It's probably a bit too cartoonish (...even though GTA:SA is much more cartoonish than GTA IV). It's still WIP I'll try to add a bit more detail. _Rob_ Posted December 6, 2010 Share Posted December 6, 2010 It's a start, but pay attention to how R* use a small amount of texture space but manage to pack a lot of detail into it, using a bigger texture like you are means you need to do what they did tenfold. Kendl, outta 256 x 256 size, jpg quality, but mainly. It's just how it looks on the texture! but actually, the model shows you what the result looks like, BTW, i made this with just gimp, the torso, and the back of the torso. Hope you like, and learn something outta this (Damn, i should really show this on picture post and commentary ) Also, ive already released this, in a whole character pack. I mean it's not bad for one hour of work, but it's not like it's a perfect model or texture to learn anything from.
