Change player voice

Recommended Posts

I don't know how many times or if this has been asked before since the search apparently doesn't work.

Does anyone know how to change the voice set for your player? Normally through Simple Native Trainer I set my model right away to Multiplayer Female, and having Luis Lopez's voice with that model just doesn't make any sense, so I'm wondering if anyone knows how to change the player's voice set.

(If anyone didn't catch, I'm playing EFLC BoGT.)

You can change the voice with Simple Native trainer as well, it's on the model menu.

I've tried that. Everything in SNT works perfectly except that. When I choose a voice and press 5 is says "voice set to [voice type here]", but my player still sounds the same.

The only thing I can find that the voice works with is changing what you say in the "manual" speech menu, which obviously isn't satisfying.

I've also tried multiple things such as selecting the voice and changing a model to see if it applies when I do that: no.

Should work fine, except for some generic speeches as screams and stuff, as the game does things at it's own way, and it's almost impossible to get around that. However, apart from missions, (which is all scripted !), the generic things the character says, will definitely being said by using the voice you've selected, providing such generic speech exist for that particular voice.

What kind of generic speech, like those idle conversations or comments that happen when you get hit by a car or the grunting/hurt sounds you make? They haven't changed.

Is there a way to do it with scripting?

Maybe this particular voice is not working properly, but surely some do work, as I have tested that with a few voices, the trouble is, this is almost impossible to script, as the game is playing those sounds based upon events, and there is no way to prevent the game from doing that.

Edit: I did test the female MP voice in IV, and it this voice is working fine on generic speeches, since EFLC should be exactly the same, it should work there as well.
