Not sure if there's an actual place called San Andreas like there is an actual Liberty City in Florida, though. Now not that I want to start a location debate, but should the next game be set in London, what do people think R* would opt for? Would they go with London itself (as in Grand Theft Auto: London?) or use a fictional name? The best possible names I've seen are Thames City (by 02fishera) and Lonsdale City (by Sanjeem). If i said the next GTA would be called GTA IV: fgulo city, you would probably think i was an idiot, which i would be since that is a shot in the dark and having a name like that makes no sense considering it has no relationship to anything in the real world or the GTA world. GTA III and IV - named Liberty City because of the statue of Liberty GTA Vice City - set in Miami and the Vice part was most likely taken from Miami Vice the TV show. GTA San Andreas - based on LA, San Francisco, and Las Vegas, San Francisco is on the San Andreas Fault line (which is an area where much tectonic activity occurs). The fault was first identified in Northern California by UC Berkeley geology professor Andrew Lawson in 1895 and named by him after a small lake which lies in a linear valley formed by the fault just south of San Francisco, the Laguna de San Andreas See how those names all have a reference to something?
