I think its a little odd to name the next GTA V, what is wrong with IV? and if the next game is indeed GTA V, it will probably not have "xxxx city" after it since the first game of the last two Era's for Rock-star have not had a title following the main title "GTA III/IV.

To be honest the name doesn't bother that much, I'll be the game no matter what its called or where its set.

I thought the roman numerals thing was more well known than this, up to now, a roman numeral has only come in when the game is using a new engine.

 

GTA III, brand new engine.

 

GTA: Vice City

GTA: San Andreas

 

GTA IV, brand new engine.

 

So if the next game uses a new engine, it's probable it will be 'GTA V', if not, then it's likely it'll be 'GTA: *Insert fictional location*'

But I doubt 'city' will be in there, after the last release was 'Episodes from Liberty City '

I highly doubt it will be V...Think how long it took from III to IV? Give it another 3-4 years atleast or a new console before you see that.

I think it should just remain as GTA V like GTA IV was when it came out. Just keep it original. I think city names should be used for the 'Stories'.

What i think Tommy is trying to say is that the current generation full GTA games dont use that technique, besides GTA CTW was a handheld game and all GTA handheld games use that technique same as GTA Advance.
