I'm really not sure what R* are going to call GTA NeXt, they could carry on with the IV canon and call It GTA IV then the location or they could start a new canon. As fickle as it may sound, releasing another game with "city" in the title, taking into account the last retail release was "Episodes from Liberty City", goes against the pattern. Unless of course the next game is a direct remake of an older game or city. Let me explain. GTA III, GTA: Vice City, GTA: San Andreas. If it went something like GTA: Vice City, GTA: San City it just wouldn't feel right, or is that just me? Of course there's no guarantee or anything, but it seems reasonable enough, considering that there was GTA III, and then later GTA IV, so what's so far-fetched about GTA V? Grand Theft Auto Vice City does seem very marketable. But, part of me also thinks that it technically won't be gta five because "III" and its sequels are solely associated with the previous generation of consoles. Now that IV has become the first step of gta games on the newest generation of consoles, I think gtaNext will essentially still be part of IV, if you know what I mean (i.e. we won't have GTA V until Sony and Microsoft invent consoles that trump the ps3 and 360, respectively) Edited December 6, 2010 by TheCacti Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
