Claude Speed.
For some reason the audio in captured footage of gameplay is desynced with the video, the audio goes ahead of the video. I think this is due to the fact that the games lag but isn't there a way to fix this? And what's the difference between these options: half-size and full-size given by Fraps? james227uk
Full size means the outputted recorded video will be the same size resolution as what your monitor is set to. Half size is the same, but only half the size resolution
Claude Speed.
Any solution to my problem then?
Waste
If you have a secondary hard drive to record to (Not just a partition.) that is opposite where the game is installed you can try that.
Claude Speed.
I don't. Would that improve my frame rate?
james227uk
It does usually. It's something to do with HDD's not being able to Read and Write data at the same time, so it's slow. When you have a second HDD, the first is reading the game whilst the second is writing the video file simultaneously, or something like that [/technical reason that didn't need to be added]
Wolf68k
If you have Xfire, try that just to see if you get the same result.
Claude Speed.
I'd rather do the thing in my signature than record with Xfire. I tried it and it is at least twice as slow as Fraps, so f*ck that.
Wolf68k
What are your system specs? What game are you trying to do this with, or does it happen with all games?
