Kiana777
GTA San Andreas .. I had a huge issue with it around 4 days ago. It froze up at the New Game or Save Game page, and wouldn't run at all. I fixed that by uninstalling the one I had, and going online to find another version. Then I carefully installed the 2 mods [Yes, only 2] that I had, and it worked 100% fine!! But then I wanted to change my character ...... So I added Dante and Nero. Then I worked on adding FFX's Tidus' Brotherhood sword.. Now, I never did a test run with GTA after the character-mod installation, I just went right on to the weapon installment. Then I tested it, and it didn't work. I was like "Woo, its loading!" But the SECOND the loading bar finishes, it crashes and says something like "gta_sa_compact.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" o_O Ok? So, I got rid of the weapons. Same issue. I uninstalled the character mods and restored the originals of whatever was changed. Still, same issue! Someone said try it again in a few hours or tomorrow, because it sometimes does that with mods. Well, it doesn't work, and I tried 17 times last night, and 4 times today. Also, when I went into IMG-Tool to delete the files [of the characters] that I added, they're still there! I deleted, uninstalled, whatever- Multiple times!! And its still there. >.> So: 1) How do I permanently get rid of the characters/weapon mods??? 2) Or, how do I get GTA to work WITH a character mod? =' / Heres what I know, about what I have: OS: Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Home Premium Version: 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2 Build 6002 OS Manufacturer: Microsoft Corporation System Manufacturer TOSHIBA System Model Satellite L500 System Type X86-based PC Processor Pentium® Dual-Core CPU T4200 @ 2.00GHz, 2000 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s) I'm not sure what type of video card I have .. Please help me out~ If I absolutely HAVE to get rid of my Character mods, then I'll get rid of it, just to play the game. I don't want to have to re-download and re-install it AGAIN. Nahiyan
Lol dude wrong category.. And have you tried "re-building" gta3.img? You always have to re-build gta3.img after adding/removing something in it. (But not if you replace)
