I went for COD4. Although it was my first COD, it was the only game i've ever played where I actually wanted to finish the story and see what happends.

I just had to vote for the first Modern Warfare. It was one of my first next-gen games and one of my first CoD's, so it has always been special to me. I love the campaign, the memorable characters and the simplicity of the addictive online multiplayer.

I prefer the first one with the expansion. That's the first PC game I've ever played, even it's demo got me for 2 hours. (One mission only. Well I was quite young back then, I couldn't really aim well.)

 

The feeling I had is the same I had with SA when I played it first back in 2005. It's a feeling I've never get again since then. I'm a kind of player who doesn't get a game for graphics. I'm all for good gameplay, and the first Call Of Duty had it.

I got Black Ops and I quite enjoyed the Story Mode. Not as bad as I thought It would be. Played a tiny bit of the online and It's OK but I prefer unlocking guns and Perks.

For me its modern warfare 2, always have and always will love that game, as much as everyone flames the people who like it! The game has its flaws no question about that, but it wasnt the most popular game for a whole year for no reason.

 

Campaign wise though ill go for world at war, best story and play threw out of the COD series, like someone said before the atmosphere is intense, really sucks you in!

 

Worst call of duty for me, Black Ops, mediocre campaign, and the online for me just feels boring and lifeless, the maps, guns, everything!

I'm not a huge fan of COD, I've only played MW, COD3 and MW2. I also only tried playing online for 2 hours and didn't get into it. I prefer SP.

 

While MW had the best set pieces, I voted for MW2 for No Russian. Love. That. Mission.

CoD2 or 4. I went with 4 mainly because of how much fun I had playing it with friends on Xbox (LOL PC IS BEST).

For overall I'd say World at war, For single player, Black ops, and Multiplayer, World at war also. I despised the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, single player was good, but I preferred the Black ops campaign.

MW2 is good too but i prefer CoD with dated weapon. Ur life won't be the same.

Modern Warfare 2, but only because it's the one I've played the most of. Online is too addictive, but rather annoying changing host every game.

 

I've seen videos of gameplay of Black Ops, and the graphics look terrible for some reason, kinda went cartoony style?

You didn't mention Call of Duty 2: Big Red One. I never had more fun than playing that sh*t online with my old clan buddies back in the day. First real online shooter experience since I don't count crap like Halo 2 that I had played before. And it was f*cking hilarious times. The ragdoll alone made some hilarious moments.

MW1 is by far the best Cod thats come out relatively recently, by far.

 

And the main reason its better than earlier ones is simply because its just alot smoother to play and get into.
