Editing the Handling, Carcols, and Vehicles Files

Hi.

I have installed several vehicle mods already, but I want to change the handling and -->carcols<--(I DON'T KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS)

to the ones the "readme.txt" files says it has from the VEHICLE MOD that I downloaded.

 

 

For example:

 

One of the mods that I downloaded is this one (http://www.gtainside.com/en/download.php?do=comments&cat=391&start=0&id=30013&orderBy=) . The car works perfectly. EXCEPT that the cars flips over at every corner, because of the handling that it has.

I want to change the default handling it has to the one in the "readme.txt" file from the 2008 Mazda 6 Sport

I'm trying to edit the handling lines, but when I go to properties to unmark the Read-only mark box this shows up.

 

I'm using GTA IV version 1.0.7.0

I hate watching the car flip over after I do a 90 degrees turn or less.

I'm guessing you're using Vista/W7. What you need to do, is right click the file, go under the "security" tab, click edit, and hit "user" and your username on the computer. Even if you are the computer administrator, it doesn't matter, you are still logged in as a "user" in the computer's eyes.

 

After that, if it says read-only, untick that, and you're good to go.

 

 

Please do some searching next time, I must've answered this question at least 20 times this week.

 

 

And carcols is simple for car colors. You don't NEED to change it, but if you get cars spawning with wheels the same color as the body, you should change it to the one given in the readme.
