Silent hill origins ?

I have just got silent hill origins for the "PSP", i had it before but lost it and had to get it again. Whats your opinion on the Silent Hill series and The psp ?

I Definitely belive that silent hill beats the RE 4 and 4 genration but the RE 2 and 3 generation where the best for me, the way the music is composed and the way it fits into the game and its not just the music what made RE 2 and 3. Silent Hill as a brilliant element of fear beating the crappy stuff in RE 4 and 5 though and yeah the old Silent Hills were awesome too, So its a mix for me comparing SH and RE, the old RE beats the new SH but the old SH beats the new RE. if you get me......

I like the SH series or rather i used to the last few games are crap, the last decent SH game was Silent Hill 3, i haven't played Origins, i haven't seen a copy of it in the shops and i have no opinion on the PSP because i haven't got one and probably never will get one.

I've played and thoroughly completed all the main games from the SH series.

 

I didn't bother with Origins on the PSP or double back to play it on the PS2 either as the reviews were poor. The whole concept of Wii's Shattered Memories (remake of one, no weapons, always running away) turned me away from it.

 

My opinion of the series itself is it was strongest under Team Silent during the first four games but the writing and depth has declined to some degree since newer teams have picked up the franchise. Homecoming, while visually one of the graphically best of the series added little to the overall storyline and felt rehashed to some extent.

 

The series has a very special mystique about it and in early games I felt myself actually slipping into a bit of a depression while playing through them which is actually pretty amazing as most games aren't able to effect your mood in this way. The only other game that has made me feel that way possibly was the original Manhunt with it's brooding atmospheres and delapidated locations.

 

I really hope Vatra Games step up the writing on the next installment and focus on adding something new to the story or at the very least reveal more as to why Silent Hill perpetuatlly exists despite it's many resolutions.

Yeah it is well done, but see the end of the video. After all, they haven't even decided who will play Heather and Claudia, they even ask for suggestions in the director's blog.

im currently stuck on orgins, the part where im in the sanitarium. Im on the 1st floor, in the "Dirty" world the the "other" world. Gunna look it up since i dont have the patience anymore. it took me atleast 30 mins to figure out how to get all the organs for the doll in the exam room.
