Tekspdy
Normally in IV I get around 30-40fps, with the occasional dip into 20 if something intense is going on, like tons of police cars and explosions. Anyways, I got a second video card, to see if I could get a few more FPS in-game. Unfortunately, the result has backfired, and I am now only getting 5-10fps. I've heard Crossfire doesn't help much in IV, but regardless, I never expected to go backwards in performance. (Only an issue with IV, other games perform well) Notes: GTA IV 1.0.7.0 Running @ 1080p Intel Core i7-950 6GB Memory 2x Radeon 6870 (CFX) Help is most appreciated. It's frustrating to get dual cards and see a result like this happen :s Edited December 4, 2010 by Tekspdy Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/464395-crossfire-lag/ Share on other sites
Girish
You should have searched around first before getting a second video card. GTA IV is known to struggle more when SLI/Crossfire is enabled. People have had to disable SLI/Crossfire just to play GTA IV. I'm not sure if there's a solution for this, but you're better off with Crossfire turned off. Have you tried lowering a few settings? Does it help boost your fps? Updated video drivers? Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/464395-crossfire-lag/#findComment-1060230378 Share on other sites
