Hello!

I think some of you probably heard for a new NFS, so I decided to write a review about it.

I hope you will find it entertaining and useful.

Well, let's begin!

Overview. New NFS? Yeah! Good old cop-racer days are back! It has been a while since we played a good and quality NFS. Undercover was desperate and Shift and Pro Street weretotal fail. But this year, EA has something new for us. As I said, this NFS serial brings the old feature in which you can choose who will you be: cop or racer.

Gameplay. A whole new engine is in the game. Graphics are amazing and will make you wish you are there. Gameplay is realistic and a lot different then gameplay in previous Need For Speed serials. New Hot Pursuit just can't hide its roots from Burnout, what'snormal because Criterion was responsible for this one. As we know, Criterion is Burnout's author, so NFS fans will have/had to habituate on a new handling.

There are lots of cars and lots of trademarks. Unfortunately, again, Ferrari isn't in game. Here is full list of cars:

Another thing which makes Need For Speed Hot Pursuit excellent game are new features. Those features are new way to fight against other racers or to arrest them: weapons.

There are three weapons in game: EMP and spike strip. I'll explain both of them.

EMP - stands for Electro Magnetic Pulse. Once you hit a key, an electro magnetic pulse goes

from your car to target's. Once hit, target loses control and things are easier. Can be used by cops, but racers, too.

Spike strip - you may think "spike strip isn't new in NFS". Well, you are "half" right. Spike strip in Hot Pursuit isn't in the form of a block. When you hit a key, a spike strips gets launched from your car

in 2-3 seconds and if target gets over it, trust me, it won't have a good time. He-he.

While playing the game, you will unlock different levels of EMP's and spike strips (1. lvl, 2. lvl etc). The level is higher the weapon is stronger and more functional.

Also, there is a good old roadblock (which can make a reaal party) and helicopter support. These two weapons have levels, too.

All these weapons can make you enjoy, have fun and laugh.

It is real fun when one racer hits a roadblock and then another two hit the first. lol.gif

Spike strip is very useful when you are someone's EMP target. Just launch the spike strips, and oponent will lose control and miss the EMP.

Helicopter launchs spike strips and by that way, it can arrest a suspect.

EMP is also useful. You need to be behind a target, aim at it and bang! You will laugh, but the target will definitively not. tounge.gif

Need For Speed Hot Pursuit has an Autolog which allows you to play this game online with your friends - shortly, the game has a multiplayer feature.

Career. Need For Speed: HP has a very simple career. You can play as a cop or racer. In both modes, there are 20 levels to be completed. The highest rank in racer career is "Most Wanted" and the highest rank in cop mode is "Ultimate Enforcer".

I also need to mention that old "Bounty" from Need For Speed: Most Wanted is back. There is no cash in the game, you can only earn bounty and by that way, unlock new cars and events.

There is no tuning, since EA has concentrated on nature, on a game world. They say that players should enjoy in super-exotic cars, amazing nature and amazing graphics. All events are happening in invented "Seacrest County"

Conclusion. I haven't played this much since NFS Most Wanted, actually, to be more precious, since 2005. All games after MW were a fail. Only Undercover was a bit better but it had lots of bugs and story was predictable from a tittle of game.

I have feeling that EA has hurried with this game, because they didn't have a great succes with selling the previous game, Need For Speed Pro Street.

After five years I have enjoyed the real NFS game. It reminds me of Most Wanted on Hot Pursuit 2 and wakes my memories.

So, new Need For Speed Hot Pursuit is just perfect. That's EA style, cops and racers, not the stinking Pro Street and legal races.

It definitively worths mentioning.

This time, EA, well done!
