gta4expert Posted December 3, 2010 Share Posted December 3, 2010 Hi! I am sorry to admit that I need some help right now! Whenever I try to launch GTA IV, either by the shortcut or the "LaunchGTAIV.exe", it seems to load for about 4 seconds, and then the process disappears from the process menu in the task manager. And when I say "load", i mean that little blue round thing at your arrow (I'm using Windows 7). Nothing else seems to happen. Now, at every fifth or seventh try, it eventually opens up the Social Club launch (Yes, this problem began to happen right after installation of patch 1.0.7.0) and launches the game - However, 7 out of 10 times, it crashes to the desktop with the "GTA IV has stopped working" error. This did not happen in any earlier patches. It was after the (forced) deletion of the Rockstar Social Club application, by patch 7. I updated Patch 7 both both ingame, and manually thereafter. And I also installed the GFWL update. I have disc imaging software installed (Daemon Tools), but I have never used it for GTA IV. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Time spent searching is much better spent then time spent posting. have disc imaging software installed (Daemon Tools), but I have never used it for GTA IV.
