help first time modding

ok i was wondering what do i need to start modding my own cars and making my own maps and etc i been looking around here havnt found what i was looking for guess im not looking hard enough but i could use some extra help so i can start modding and making maps cuz i got a few good ideahs

well not sure if you got the help your looking for but the best place to start would be here http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showforum=109

 

And if your looking to make your own models and don't have the money for 3DSMax then Zmodeler is your best friend it's got a bit of a learning curve to it and it'll take some time to get the hang of it if you never used it before and as for the rest of the tools you'll need there should be links to them in the Tutorials here
