Tyler
Imperial System till I die. I'd much rather travel three furlongs then 220 metres.
stinomontana
i hate miles, it always sounds really slow like doing 80 on the highway (highjacking topic) why do some country's drive on the left side off the road?
AreXi
Metric system: 100cm = 1m -> 1000m = 1km etc Imperial system: 12in = 1 foot -> 3 feet = 1 yard -> 1760 yards = 1 mile Why do you guys have to make everything so f*cking complicated? Seriously?
agent17
I would gladly except using a different measuring system. Unfortunately the rest of the country won't have it.
Bernard Jazz
Why do you guys have to make everything so f*cking complicated? Seriously? It becomes second nature to most of us, not complicated at all.

Seriously? I don't find it complicated at all, though only because I grew up on it. I'm fine with either system, in all honesty. It's human nature to "Prefer" the system they are used to I guess. Robinski
Why do you guys have to make everything so f*cking complicated? Seriously? It becomes second nature to most of us, not complicated at all. It doesn't though. I'm in the generation that was taught metric because, well, because it makes sense. I have no idea how many pints are in a gallon, yards in a mile, ounces in a pound or any of that sh*t. Miles are literally the only imperial measurement I use, and that's only 'cos there's no escaping them.

Oddsock
Kilometers beat American measurement system by a mile! Haha, I get it. The metric system is obviously very coordinated compared to what seems to be the arbitrary ways of measuring things with the imperial system, but I've gotten so used to it it's difficult for me to think in terms of metric. I can tell you a kilogram is 2.2 pounds, that's about it.
cidamelo
I don't know why americans use weird length measurements, why not use kilometres, metres, centimetres and chyle instead of miles, pounds, feet?
Niko_Vercetti7
Listen, we Americans are stupid. We are one of the only countries in the entire world that doesn't use the metric system. Don't get me wrong the system we have works fine but we always have to be so different from the rest of the world.
