Fusion951
I see many people had the "I installed a patch and now my game won't run!"-problem here. I've been reinstalling all day because of that issue, and I finally made some of it work. I have a legit copy of GTA IV which I installed. I started the game, installed the must-have update from Games for Microsoft and BAM. The game would not run. As I said, I tried different stuff until I tried to do a clean install and download & install each patch one by one. I reached 1.0.4 and the game is still running. Though, when I tried installing 1.0.6 and 1.0.7 nothing happened at all. The game was still running at 1.0.4. I gave up and installed Xliveless, accepting the fact that I can't play online or have the latest patch. Anyone knows a solution for this? Don't tell me "reinstall the game and see what happens", I've been doing this for nearly 6 hours now. Thanks in advance BTW I am running retail copy (1.0.4.0 atm) on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. mkey82
When you tried installing patch 6/7 did the install process finish? Here is the extracted patch 7, all you need to do it to unpack it in the game dir overwriting the old files. http://www.4shared.com/file/sHL0ym0_/GTAIV_patch_7.html

Fusion951
Now, IF it works - can I use my savegame with the progress I've done with Xliveless installed?
