vurt
Why does the alpha blending on the tree canopies look so bad, is it like this for everyone or is it my drivers or something? Any idea how to fix it? These are my own textures, but it looks just as bad with the default ones, so its nothing wrong with the textures. The more lush trees looks even worse http://piclair.com/data/66255.jpg thanks
TheD199434
If ya got a good photoshop, you can make the "Alpha" Texture about 30% more transparenty or best is use the texture of the leafs and make it to alpha, so transparent and all. It will look less f*cked
vurt
yes i dont like the default ones so i've made my own leaf textures on most trees. do you mean i should make an additional alpha texture? the alpha channel on the texture is already 100% transparent (well except where it shouldnt be). thanks
TheD199434
if its 100% transparent, it is like not seeable man. if its 50% (for example) then its half. When it's 0% it is no aplha channel. Just wanted to say. I guess you did something wrong? Try it 50%, it will be better

Try it 50%, it will be better I meant the part that is not supposed to be shown is 100% transparent, the rest (leaves) is not, they're 100% white in the alpha channel. Like i said, it's transparent where it should be.. Like this: http://piclair.com/data/aej5v.jpg Do you mean i should make the part of the alpha that is pure white a bit grey instead of pure white? I guess I'll make some tests later on. Edited December 2, 2010 by vurt
