Motorcycle problem

Hello,

 

I have made a motorcycle for GTA:SA with Gmax and Kam´s Script. The Model is pretty much done and i imported it into the game. Now i have a weird bug that i have no clue how to fix it: CJ can ride the bike but when i want to get off the bike it crashes the game.

 

I would appreciate any help from someone who already made a motorcycle for GTA or someone who can link me to an appropriate tutorial.

This almost sounds like an animation-related problem. You didn't delete or alter the .ifp for that bike did you? If this isn't the case then maybe it's something with the model itself... I made a bike to replace the Freeway a couple years ago that had a bug that puzzled me at the time that I never nailed down because it was harmless but I later thought might be related to what could be causing your trouble too.

 

What was happening was that if I approached a spawn point of the bike too fast it would fall over before I got to it but if I took my time then it would show up propped over like the kickstand was down like it was supposed to. I figured later on that maybe it has to do with the position of the root dummy. The game uses this dummy as the center of mass for spins, rolls, jumps, etc. and so maybe if it isn't placed right then maybe the game's physics calculations screw up and either bug or crash the game. Just a theory but it might be worth a shot and was something I always meant to get around to testing but never did.

 

If it's none of the above, then maybe it's something to do with a vehicle or handling setting? Maybe you changed something or something needs changing?
