Resident Evil 1 - 4 HD Remakes?

Now just hear me out. I love the classic Resident Evil games. I have all the PS1 titles on my PS3 and i have games for the Wii and RE 4 and Outbreak for the PS2

 

It got me thinking. Should they remake the games in HD for PS3 and Xbox 360?

 

Just 1 - 4 tho and maybe Zero.

 

Just not the other titles like Outbreak (even tho Online play would be sweet on the newer gen consoles) i would rather see a new Outbreak title.

 

I love the games alot and it would be really cool to give them some HD graphics and some Trophies/Achievements with them too. Like in RE 4, One Trophy/Achievement is to buy a item from every stranger in the game or get all the bobbleheads or Get all costumes unlocked or somthing.

 

You guys think this is a good idea??

Could probably see them doing 1-3 for PS3 like they've done with Prince of Persia, Sly Cooper and God of War.

I thought the Gamecube remakes really did them justice, the dramatic graphical and game mechanic jump forward in RE4 never made me want to look back for too long.

 

If anything I'd like to see them revisit the idea of redoing a version of Outbreak that's actually worth a damn. Seeing a version that works and funtions in a free roam MMORPG type setting in the vein of The Walking Dead or something with groups of survivors banding together outside of Racoon City in a co-op or solo experience where they have to venture into the city to gather resources and then return to a camp to distribute things to the group would interest me and seems very doable at this point.

Not RE4, since it's very similar as Re5 and RE5 is already out on PS3. But 1 to 3 definitly yes. Especially 3.

RE1 has already been remade.

 

And Capcom are reluctant to remake any more, if you go and lurk Capcom Unity forums for a while you will see this clearly.
