I've almost started preparing for Christmas.. to be honest I hate it because it's a financial burden and I feel like a sack of sh*t if I don't get nice things for the people I love. I myself like most Americans celebrate Christmas mostly for the gifts without any regard and or recognition for religion. I guessed so, but the irony is kind of beautiful. I love how you changed to the USSR flag now though. Lame attempt to get back on topic: I do have a newish tree, one whole year old.. I'll probably drag it out soon instead of letting it collect dust. They give off such a nice pine forest scent that just puts you into that Christmas mood. I still gotta get myself some of those new LED energy saving lights. It's summer, and even though there's a Christmas Tree farm only a kilometre away, and it's not like we're in the old country where slaying down a tree and putting it up was a tradition (not that it ever was, as far as I know). Even when we did put up trees, it was just a plastic one, although I loved decorating it. I still have all these cute little Santas, along with other Christmas characters, and they look p cool. Besides, Orthodox Christians celebrate Christmas on the 7th of January, so if we did happen to put one up, it probably wouldn't be until a few days before.
