Wordsworth
Link Until now all attempts to develop a male pill have failed with scientists working on a contraceptive jab for men given by doctors. But researchers in Israel have finally been able to create a oral pill that deactivates sperm before they reach the womb. And they've developed a version that means it only needs to be to be taken once every three months. The breakthrough pill could be available in as little as three years, according to the scientist behind the discovery. Unlike the jab form of the male pill it doesn't use a combination of the male hormone testosterone and the female hormone progesterone to block pregnancy. The scientist behind the male pill discovery has developed a tablet that removes a vital protein in sperm that is required for a woman to conceive. So while sperm still get through to the uterus they are unable to fertilise an egg. Using this approach, researchers believe they have a pill that is 100 percent effective at stopping pregnancy. Not only is it long lasting but it also has other pluses. There are no side effects as suffered by women who take the contraceptive pill. Men on the male equivalent hormone jabs, which are still undergoing trials report feelings of moodiness, depression and loss of sex drive. The fact that it doesn't affect anything hormonal is excellent. That's the major issue with the side effects from things out on the market now for women. Hell I'd consider taking it if there was no ill effect. I'm not looking to have any babies anytime soon.

rhyn
Oh how many people will be having much more sex when this will unleash upon to the world... . Great discovery though. You can guarantee that the church will use that as an argument against it. Saying it will lead to an increase in STI's etc.. Great f*cking idea though and it only has to be taken once every 3 months? Hot Damn. SRS Incorporated
Niko_Vercetti7
You can guarantee that the church will use that as an argument against it. Of course they will. Then again what doesn't the church try to go after? Honestly though I'd consider taking it, but I'm not too fond of prescription medications. I always hear these lawsuit commercials and sh*t like that on TV which just shows you that these things aren't very well tested. K^2
I don't think the phrase, "It's Ok, I'm on a pill," would sound right coming from a man. Maybe we should come up with some sort of a masculine hand-sign for it. Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns. Moonshield
Honestly, I think there might be some backlash saying "don't worry, I'm totally sterile now" to some women. You know, the ones that deep down, secretly want a manly man?

You know, the ones that deep down, secretly want a manly man? Well I'm sure those men can just sacrifice sterility for a six pack of abs and a good 'I'm a douchebag' haircut. I mean, who wouldn't want to be in bed with this?
Wordsworth
The pill is not meant to stop your body from producing sperm, it only provents a protein in the sperm that makes it fertilize the egg. So like the article says, they swim but they can't make babies. If it works as advertised it would be great I think. And if you ever got married and wanted to have a kid you could stop taking it. Theoretically.
Xo4
I love the idea, but can't trust it. Its too much of a risk to trust what some doctors somewhere say. I'd rather physically stop it. But if it comes with a fairly high success rate, its well worth a try.

860
here's like, around 6.77 billion. We're almost getting to 7 though. Where did you get that number? How credible is this? It says 6,935,778,526. This doesn't count all the unregistered people in Africa and Asia so we're way above 7 already.

K^2
Rapists, the world over, are going to have a a ball with this. Why? I don't think rapists particularly worry about getting victim pregnant. It's the DNA evidence left behind that's the problem, and with this pill, you'll be unloading your DNA in much the same way as without it. Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns.
gizmo
Rapists, the world over, are going to have a a ball with this. Are you inferring that all rapists are uniballers? uniballers ahahah i think the correct term might be uniballer since the S implies they are plural, which if they have a uni could not be plural. $$H New York Crew
Adler
Well the plural refers to the rapists not the amount of balls they have.

Get her pregnant and you have to marry her. That's how it works here. Of course, you escape the legal ramifications that way but it pretty much kills whatever little hope you may have of raping other women.
