Grand Theft Auto: Capital State:

Philadelphia and Washington DC are fairly close

to each other. What do you think about having

them both in the same game? Think of San Andreas

meets the East Coast. The three main parts would

be Philly, Washington DC, and parts of Virginia.

What represents America more than Washington DC?

Sure, the stereotypical Vice City and Liberty City are

good in terms of capturing the glam of it all, but what

about the history?

 

The history of America lies within the Capital, the heart

of America. Freedom, liberty, justice and honor are all

represented in Washington DC, since America was founded.

Don't we have the right to cause havoc in these places?

Don't we have the right to do what our founding fathers

wanted to do, such as blow thing up and drive on the

wrong side of the road?!

 

* Plus, remember when GTA4.net gave us a hints by changing the GTAV.net logo? And all the clues ended up pointing to Obama. Well Obama lives in Washington DC.

Serially though, I think Baltimore would be a better third area than Virginia, although the three cities would probably all be a little similar. However, it's a good idea nonetheless. Might make a concept out of it one of these days. Maybe. Thanks for inspiring me.....

This is actually on to a good multi-city setting, one that perhaps in a future generation would be linked up with Liberty City. You would have Philly/Camden, New Jersey (call it Alderney? ) going down river to a smaller town (Wilmington, Delaware), then Baltimore and DC with a part of northern Virginia. It would have some open areas between the cities but not as empty and desolate as, say, the space between San Fierro and Las Venturas in San Andreas.

You could probably mix the Blaxploitation/70s idea with this.

There would be less worry about "promoting terrorism" and could focus on the Cold War politics and such.

This is ideal! the midwest would be could but chicago would be two similar to liberty city. I love that whole corrupt political scene rather than the typical street gang, mafia or drug senarios, although some controversy may be raised

Atlantic City is smaller than you think. Population is between 40,000 to 50,000.
