joey82
Hi! I'm having a problem with the RealGTA mod and I thought maybe someone could give me a hint here: I installed the mod, and - according to the faq - should remove the txd.img and txd.dir files in the models sub directory. However, those files never existed. The mod is installed and generally is working, however the cars' textures are white. The "fix" is to remove the two files mentioned ... I have already tried a clean install without starting gta 3 prior to installing the mod, but ran into the same problem. I have the Trilogy, could this be the reason those files don't exist? Hope someone can help me! Thanks a lot! Joey Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/464119-realgta-txdimg-txddir/ Share on other sites
Mark01
I hope I'm right but I remember that when you start III for the first time it creates that txd.img during the loading. joey82
Yes, that's probably how it should be. But there is no txd.img in the whole gta folder structure. I think that maybe it's stored differently in my version (Trilogy, Europe version). I guess I have to stick with the vanilla gta III then. Thanks anyway! Frank.s
You could try deleting the caps.dat file from your data folder, it should re-create the txd.img when you start the game afterward.
