We're due to get hit by the same storm up here in Nova Scotia tonight. It's going to be a real mess here. 30-40cm (12-16 inches) of snow, 40-50mm (half an inch) of rain, freezing rain, and strong winds - 80-100km/h (50-60mp/h). Great first snowfall of the season.

Im currently using the snow as a freezer for all my beers, haha. It's also meant to be snowing sometime next week.

Yesterday we took all the drink out of the shed and it was so cold all the beer turned to Ice! Just chucked it besides the boiler and back in the fridge and all was well.

It's not often the a storm comes from the east like this one. It's just going to sit on top of us for a day - dumping snow.

Yeah dude, I just walked a few blocks home from my friends house, against the wind of course.

I would kill for some snow right now. We've got a little bit this year, but the weather has just got to the point where is consistently stays well below freezing so most of it melted before the temp dropped. There's probably about a half inch on the grass and none anywhere else right now.

I'm just up the south shore here in Bridgewater. There's maybe 5cm of snow down now, and it appears to still be snowing.No rain here yet. Getting all that snow combined with the rain is gonna make it a mess tomorrow.

Well it's been raining all night and most of the snow is gone, thank god. Now i can get into town and get some cheap stuff on sale without thinking i'm going to slip and break my neck every 2 minutes.

I shoveled the front and stuff, and now I just have to stay in here and enjoy my snow day. My wife made cheddar cheese soup yesterday, so that will be some tasty goodness to tap into.

 

The wind is freaking crazy though. I'm waiting for some of my window panes to just pop out of their old frames

 

@TV19, damn straight!!! We are under a snow emergency such to the point were they postponed our football game last night. They claimed it was for fan safety. But sure, no love for the workers safety I guess. There was all but 5 people on my floor today. Normally there are about 75.

Damn that sucks, why do they even bother make people go into work if they know no-one is going to turn up, it's a waste of a morning trying to get in and then get told to go home. I was in the hospital on Wednesday and we were taking a lift of my dad who worked down the road. It took us 4 hours to get home and it was only a 4KM drive, that would only take 5 minutes.

Completely sh*tty here in Fredericton man. I had to shovel for over 30 minutes to get out of the yard, snow up to my knees almost. That was only in about 8 hours too which is the crazy part! It's still snowing now too. Efff.

That's exactly what I picked up when I went earlier, they are awesome. Along with a monster energy drink, probably why I'm still awake.

 

And it looks like it stopped snowing here for the most part too. Looks like half a foot or so, maybe less.
