I was excited about the snow a few days ago (Wednesday I think it started) as it was all fun and pristine. Now, after spending four straight hours stood at an outdoor bus stop I've grown tired of it. It's still very picturesque, if you don't look at the roads too much, because there seems to be a heavy fall every few hours, but I hate having my public transport f*cked with.

Had some in Leicester, not enough to really cause any hassle except now with the -10c at night or colder its all turned into ice which is f*cking horrible. Mainly because once you're off the main roads they haven't gritted some of the country roads which is horrible to drive on.

Really? I personally love walking through snow. Of course, running through 20 cm of snow with untied boots to get to the bus in time is another story. The best thing about snow is that it brightens up the depressing fall darkness.

I am incredibly tempted to try biking in the snow, but the cold turns me off. I see what you mean, though, getting to the city probably take 50% longer with the snow but I can't be angry at such beautiful thing.

i have today and tomorrow off school, that's only the second time our local council has cancelled school. It's up to my knees, i don't usually like snow but for some reason i wanted it this year.

Snowstorm hit sweden for like 4 Days in row. Stopped snowing and now the snow is ATLEAST a half meter.

Winter is kind of depressing, not so many people outside and I don't go out so much during winter. I hope it gets as warm as possible, I hate cold weather.

It snows every day where I live. It looks like it is going be a cold winter this year too, but it is not a problem for me. I really like the winter escpecially now when it is December.

 

By the way I remember that the temperature was around +7-8 around this time last year. Now it is usually at least -5 during lunch/afternoon.

 

It looks like the winters are getting colder again which is good. (Around December 7-8 last year it started to snow a lot and it was on the ground every day until late March -it was also probably the coldest winter since I was born ) Anyway, around 2005-2008 it did not snow so often were I live. December was quite boring those days. No snow on Christmas for example.
