The-King
Look i'm not a rebel for hating Black Ops etc. I just felt that there is better games in the market worthy of more recognition So, that places it among the worst games of the year? Really? Would a title like that not be attributed to some half done effort from a low level studio with the budget of a high school gym teacher, not a AAA title designed to be top of the line in what it does whose studio had enough resources to keep a small nation afloat? I mean Christ, this is the same bullsh*t you'd expect from the Halo sux/GTAIV was a worthless game crowd. Look don't bother replying here your clearly a Cod fanboy Sure I am, that's why I despise everything that's happened to the series and haven't truly enjoyed a campaign since CoD3 came out. The second you call someone a fanboy and use it as reasoning is the first broken ground to digging yourself a big ass f*cking hole you can't get out of. No need for threats dude, but if you despise what Cod has become then why are you arguing it? I'm arguing the fact that you can't proclaim a game worst because it doesn't suit your tastes, not to mention the fact that the games you listed are all AAA titles whose general reception from reviewers were all above astounding (greased palms aside). You could make a topic entitled "Your Least Favorite Games of 2010" and there wouldn't be an issue, but proclaiming something as worst is something that can only essentially be reached upon a general consensus. Like it's an accepted conclusion that Big Rigs: Over The Road Racing is the worst game of all time, bar none, and comparing games like Black Ops and Mafia II to that is like using a piece of horse manure to do a compare and contrast with a Lamborghini Gallardo. Some people might not like how the Gallardo looks, but everyone will agree that it's a f*ck lot better than the horse sh*t. |PropagandaIncorporated:|: Steam:|: DeviantArt:|: Last.FM|

Runey
dude its all peoples opinions just because its a AAA title dosent mean it has ot be good True, but you can't tell me that Black Ops is even close to being the absolute worst game released this year, and that's what this topic is all about isn't it? Look, I think it's overrated, and that the first MW and WaW were better, but it's far from the absolute worst game of the year. That has to be one of those obscure games that nobody has ever heard of and that you wouldn't even consider buying. Though I will say that these "fitness" games where you're supposed to lose weight by playing seem pretty dumb to me. Just get out and exercise. Edited November 29, 2010 by Runey. I have to say, New Vegas, I wanted more out of it but like the debate before, these are kinda overrated games. They are fun in small doses, I just miss a game that'll make my eyes bleed because I can't put it down; it's been a while since I've had a game like that. Algonquin Assassin
Not really the "worst", but Just Cause 2 has been the biggest disappointment this year. Actually I had no hype for it whatsoever, and it was spur of the moment when I bought it, because I saw trailers for it a few days before it came out, and thought it looked cool. So I bought it on release day hoping it would keep me busy until RDR came out. My first impressions were very good. I really enjoyed the first 30 hours, but as soon as the story was done I simply couldn't be bothered with it. Doing the settlements was fun at first, but I must have only done about 50, or so before giving up as it was just the same thing over, and over. There was no way I was going to do all of them. The black market sucked. No point in buying vehicles as there was no where to store them, and the prices were ridiculously expensive. Keep in mind this was in April/May, so I don't know if there's been a patch, or whatever for it. I'm only going off my experience when I first got the game. The story was too brief. I would've preferred there to be more agency missions then faction ones. The story felt way too predictable, and not enough character development. IMO the game looked great on the surface, but like the Saints Row series there seems to be a false illusion of the stuff you can do.

They involve the full use of the game's awesome gameplay mechanics. I love JC2 and I still play it. I'm over 130h into the game and I can't get enough. I'd say the biggest letdown of the year is New Vegas. I played it at my friends house and I thought it was the most boring game ever. It just feels so bland and emotionless. Immersion is the most important thing in these games. And I couldn't get into it. It's the exact opposite of Fallout 3. And I wasn't a big fan of Fallout 3 either. I prefer TES games. NickRad
If it wasn't for vehicles like the fighter jets and helicopters it wouldn't really be fun. Bizzare
Mafia 2, I played the original on the pc, im not a pc gamer usually but the console conversion sucked then. Why would Mafia 2 be any different Mercenaries, really looked forward to this, think it was released this year, now I cant help but look past it. And without playing it im sure Kane and Lynch 2 sucked nuts

tubbs51
BO, FONV, and Mafia 2 are no where near my least favorite games this year... my least are 1. Medal of Honor (i was expecting it to be better than BFBC2 but it wasnt even near BFBC2) 2. Golden Eye Wii remake (should have left the game on 64 or put it on all consoles... so sad) 3. Madden NFL 11 (some of you know my hatred for EA Sports so im not gonna repeat my self) 4. NCAA Football 11 (this wouldnt have been here yesterday. explanation in detail below) on NCAA Football 11 last night i was playing and on defense i forced a turnover on downs at my 2 yard line... i couldnt get it out until i tossed a pass to my TE who took it all the way for the Touchdown 98 yards a new NCAA record.... oh wait there's a yellow napkin on the field... "Holding offense, Results in Safety".... wha?!?!? wait... it should be half distance to the goal replay third down... but insted of it being a 1 yard penalty the game makes it a 3 yardsr (note: im on the 2 yard line) so it backs the scrimmage line into the endzone which results in the game giving the other team a f*cking safety and 2 f*cking points... now i still won the game but thats a very key and very known rule in american football and yet they didnt get it right
OysterBarron
listing litrerally 4 of the top releases this year as the worse games is pretty trollish when you have games like kinectimals out! over the year so far there has been over 1000 releases across all platforms and you choose the top games of this year 1 word troll! on topic though not sure what one would get the worst game of 2010 ive had quite a good year for dodging the sh*t ones! OysterBarron
well i can list the games that i have brought for 360 over the last 3 years witch i rate as the worst Too human xbox 360, FUEL xbox 360, Unreal t III xbox 360 (lack of online community) the only ones this year that i was dissapointed in was prob Alien Vs predator X360 and army of 2 40thday Could have been better instead of giving you more of the same but i still enjoyed them to a certain extent. Forgive me if those wernt released this year memory gets a bit hazy! Edited November 29, 2010 by oysterbarron
Voodoo
This thread is pointless. All of the popular games listed have their own topics in this section and none of them could be considered a "worst of the year" title. If you're just going to whine about how disappointing they were then why not just go bitch about them in their designated topics?

If holding occurs in the endzone it's an automatic safety. Given that you were running a pass play from the 2 yard line, I'm sure that the penalized lineman was standing in the endzone when he committed the foul. The game got it right. OT: Although it's definitely not the worst game of the year, Mafia 2 was flat out insulting. Weak storyline that cuts off way too soon, and the fact that the game shipped with DLC ready to go shows that they purposefully withheld material from the original game (free roam, anyone?) in order to sell it to you for an extra $10. Just adds fuel to my hatred of DLC.
Darkshade12
Seeing that we have a Best of 2010 thread I thought it would make sense to make a Worst of 2010 topic.1. Mafia 2- This had a lot of potential but as most M2 players know the devs screwed it up by cutting content out for DLC 2. Call of Duty Black Ops- Had high hopes for this I kinda liked Mw2 better 3. Tony Hawk Ride- No explanation needed here 4. Fallout New Vegas- Overated and just boring It's funny but most people would argue they are some of the best of 2010 (apart from tony hawks, but then again that series has been going downhill for years)

It was the center and he was on the either the one yard line or the two yard line but he wasnt in the endzone... my brother was playing with me and was playing as the RB and was blocking as well and we both saw the holding just ouside the endzone... but man it pissed me off tho that i hit a 98 yard TD pass just to get it taken back and then call it a safety for the other team... but i already reviews the play and the Holding wasnt in the endzone. darthYENIK
You people must be playing some f*cking awesome games if those are the worst you've played all year. Here's a tip, go to http://www.metacritic.com/ , search for the game you think is bad, if it has a score of 50% or more, then (to quote a popular internet phrase) you're doing it wrong.
