Hello,

So in GTA IV 1.0.0.7 with SNT 6.2 i have been slowly progressing in making a small docking map out in the ocean for people to find and just relax once they get there. I have placed all the objects i desire so far, but every time i load them the barges i have used have risen form there placement position upwards by about 10-20 feet.

This is not good because the barges are supposed to rest on the water but every time i load them from objects.ini, they have always risen and i would like to know if there is a possible way in fixing this issue so they STAY in their position that i positioned them in when i load them again.

Thanks you,

XTREME0235.

Yes, it's called object correction, not all objects are placed correctly (height) this is due to the game, not the trainer.

-Some objects still are spawned to high if you clone, save/load them, this cannot be fixed other then correcting the height for those specific objects on clone or save time,

The trainer already corrects around 40 objects for you, now you can add objects that you want corrected yourself:

Objectcorrections section in trainer.ini, allows you to add 20 object corrections, one example is already provided in trainer.ini.

To correct the height of an object, follow these steps:

1) Spawn the BM_Skate_flatramp, this object has correct height no matter what. (first option on object menu)

2) save this object into Save Last Spawned object in Slot1.

3) delete the object

4) at the same position where you spawned Bm_Skate_flatramp, you now spawn the object you want corrected

5) save that object into Save Last Spawned object in Slot 2

6) no go to trainer.ini, and find both the Z value for slot 1 and the Z value for slot 2 and do z value slot 2 - z value slot1=

so for instance z slot 1 = 10.5 and z slot 2=12.5 12.5-10.5=2

7) now enter the object id and the correction (2) into trainer correction and reload game, the object should now be corrected.

Thank you Sjaak, i will try this method.

But if i did this method, would i have to do it for EVERY object that i want placed correctly, as that would be a hassle.

Well.. Blame Rockstar smile.gif

You only need to do that for each object that is placed to high, of course if two objects are the same, you only correct it once.

Haha, okay then.

You only need to do that for each object that is placed to high, of course if two objects are the same, you only correct it once.

So, for example.

If i placed a Barge_med object to look like it's sitting on water, and i cloned it and moved it x7 (=8 Barge_med)

and then i saved all spawned objects to objects.ini. Will i need to do each barge with this method or just 1?

Just one of course !

Objectcorrections is correcting the height of objects, if barge_med is in there, all barge_med objects will be corrected.
