Started to do today the LOD's on the high-tech industrial area (Upper Town). I started with two companies, that are also GTAF Crews, which perfectly fits into this zone.   #1: Facade Corp: Software

Good News:     Started to do the map again, starting with the city. Here come some LOD's. These skyscrapers will come in game, btw.   Pls don't mind the mess. And the big donut.

Being short: The Gostown project was split in two: Gostown Blue and G7. Basically, While Gostown Blue will focus about finishing the old Gostown 6 and 5 maps, G7 will be another map made from scratc

Today's progress: I have been working on a x-ray scanner for the Gp_Airport. Here is the final result (Start to texture next week)

I also have to tell you guys that i'll be out for 2 months, so the pproject will be jammed until February or until Terreur come back.

Thank you so much for your work you've done, Terreur. You gave people an old GTA gem back.

I feel now responsible to keep your and the team hard work and finish that map. Thank you for let me make part of the team, and driving that project alone now, it is a great responsibility. Hope i don't disappoint anyone.

I have now the task to honor not only you, but ParoXum and the old team, i hope to have time to finish it all. You guys made a great contribution to the community.

Menu, will the big city have traffic now?

I am quite far from that by now. I am still doing the interior props (Furnitures and etcetera), which will take a lot of time. When i finally finish the props, the building interiors and the buildings itself, i can finally think about that. Until then, the GTAV will be released as the modding tools itself, and as the GTAV path allowance is higher, the problem will solve itself.

I'll be boarding tomorrow, December 17 and the project will be jammed until i come back, after February 22, because my devs and 3dsMAX will not come with me and i'll not have free time there.

I am really sorry for the low productivity, its because i have attention deficit disorder, and it is real hard to focus on the project, even with a lot of free time

Don't I know about focusing on things being hard even when I have a lot of time. That's why I find it challenging a lot for example with things like English homework or Art homework. I love writing, and I love drawing but doing it for deadlines, that is really hard work due to having to stay focused. To be honest, you don't have anything to apologise for as you're still working on this, you're still putting life into a project that was put to sleep. Even if it takes you ages and are doing only small amounts, fact remains, you're still pushing life into it and if anyone has any problems with that, how about they contribute and show they are better. It doesn't help either with GTA IV being such a pain in the bottom with it's awful performance.

 

At the end of the day, the only people that can complain is if you were charging everyone for your service lol, but you're not, so don't feel pressured or guilt for not doing much.

I'd literally pay someone if they someow got p heds and multiplayer on this mod. This is one of my favorite map mods of all time.

 

 

 

^someone had multiplayer working and put the download link in the description. The files don't work for me though :/

No way to start video editor with gostown? Seeing as mobile phone doesn't work.

 

F7 works, but the hud won't work when a video is opened. Oh well.

I have created an updated look for my Gostown Police livery. It still is a green colour scheme, but since I changed my Liberty Police liveries to be British chequered livery, I am following suite with the Gostown and so have also taken MenuET's idea of the small chequers along the bottom of the window. I was going to do a full on chequered livery like how the British Police liveries are, but with the green colour scheme, it looked more like an ambulance than a police livery as that's the colour scheme of ambulances in Britain.

 

Here's a screenshot of the livery which will get the logo that MenuET decides on when it's finished. Any feedback on the new design is appreciated.

I'm sorry, guys, to not keeping up woth this map. As i wanted, really wanted to, i just can't keep the work up, for several reasons:

 

-The place i came on december don't have anything to the project. I lack resources.

-I'm isolated, with no internet connection and a decent, proper PC.

-I'm jammed with another work to do. For some strange reason, i ended messing with politics.

-I'm without my files

 

That's it. I promissed to keep up the work 'till i could keep up. For now, i'm not in conditions. Maybe later i can.

I sure hope that this can be ported to GTA V. Preferably a map south of Los Santos where you fly far to get to it. Then it would be nice to have LC north east of SA. It would be neat to be able to fly to other maps.

Things came from bad to worse. My PC broke from a time ago (since the day i travelled, 9 months ago), and i did the mistake to let someone else but me fix the PC. Guy repaired the PC, but reformatted my Hard Drive, erased Windows.old, and didn't let anything from my old files. My whole work on Gostown. Gone. Textures, models, libraries... He erased everything, with no care. Brought more damage than he fixed.

 

 

Bad news is i have to start everything from zero.

Good news is: I will start to work again on the mod. I'll take my head on place first, decide what to do after that, and go back to work.

 

Well, that is all. It will take a while until you hear about the map again.

Wow, that's bad. However, don't let that put you off, sometimes it happens. That doesn't mean that everything can't be recovered at some point. Yeah, it will take time but only that. Besides, you've done a lot of stuff until now. I'm confident that you will get everything under control.
