Anti Aliasing

 

Just tried the anti aliasing, it didn't work out too well, it just ruined it because either it showed no effect or it done it too much. It doesn't look as bad when it's on the vehicles.

 

I'm using Paint.NET for doing all this. Anyone able to try to anti alias it with Photoshop or something? I do agree that it can do with anti aliasing still but using Paint.net, it just ruins it.

In the conversation I was having yesterday with MenuT, he suggested exactly that about all the vehicles being green. I absolutely love the green liveries. But I do agree that there needs to be a variety of colour.so I am going to do some colour coding with the buses like I did with Liberty buses (real life bus company it's based off has all the colours of the rainbow) Edited August 22, 2014 by Jasewolf

Actually, Jase, i suggested just one of the bus liveries (the touristic one) should be green, i liked the green art for the buses. Not all cars. All green don't look good, seems to look like generic.

And i asked you a different logo art for the Gostown green livery, a custom one, from your mind.

 

About Police car, my goal is to redesign the old Gostown6 police car decals and keep the old Gostown6 design, but get rid of Vice City logo style. I am open to suggertions, but no plans to make something different

That's a nice looking revision of the Vice City squad car. I know the lightbar's different, but is the front end more sloped out or is that just me? It looks good though, I always liked VC's squad car.

 

 

@Jase - You could probably just do something basic and not dependent too much on colors to make it stand out, but rather designs and the like. The busses in my hometown could fit the bill, seeing as they've got a Red/White/Blue combo going on, very patriotic for a city like DC.

Ok I got ya I will do that livery for the police as all it needs is painting back to black and white Busy finishing off all the bus liveries first and then I will get back to doing the police liveries. I personally am going to use the ones I created with that Vice City style logo but I will also do that livery for everyone

That is an outstanding livery!! Very similar to Stagecoach (the blue red orange white).

 

From the looks of it, UK buses takes dependent on colours to an entirely different level than what I see any other country has done

Yup that's what happens when we all are in different countries/states etc, we all are used to different things haha I will do my best to create different types of liveries as obviously we all can use different designs for our games (except for when playing multiplayer). Just like, there's dozens upon dozens of different liveries out there for the same company name such as LCPD, LTA etc.

The only thing with making a bus company after Thames Travel, you got to make sure the buses are never on time xd. They've been kicked off the contract due to their lateness (and there Fleet Buzz was with it's lateness, nothing compared to Thames Travel) lol. I do agree that Thames travel is an awesome livery. My favourite buses are Fleet Buzz and Stagecoach and their GTA-life counterparts are in my profile picture

 

I am so proud of myself with this livery It simply looks amazing!!!

 

 

 

Next up, to do theGostownbus (exactly the same as this bus below just Gostown instead of Liberty) which in real life is galled theGreenbus and is used all over the UK by multiple bus companies for school runs, just like how the US use the yellow school bus for school runs. One of the most funky designs ever this livery is.

That particular one I took a few months ago and uploaded to FB whilst I was talking to one my friends on my phone. Couldn't be bothered to set that livery on the bus and then screenshot and upload to Facebook when that was already there ready to get a link of. It's alright, it shows what I wanted to show, the livery. When I do the Gostown version of it I'll obviously take a proper screen of it haha.

Actually, kind of that. My plans until now is to keep the first checkered design concept, but it is good you post some variety, it gives me options and inspiration. By now i need suggestions about the police logo. thinking about some, but always is good to see other people ideas.

I'd sure love to see F1 cars bundled in with Gostown for on the circuit as just imagine multiplayer F1 races as well as with first person view like in the picture below. (screen is from the Criminal Russia circuit) I also use a mod called Vhandling so it is a tiny bit like GTA V handling but not enough to actually ruin it. I like that mod because it makes there be less oversteering and the vehicles are all able to turn much better, which I find absolutely helpful beyond words for driving buses (buses in realy life can make really tight turns so it should be able to in GTA too xd).

That's actually Red and white, just the sun is glaring on it

 

I'll do that livery option but first 2 I create for Gostown Valley will be first red and white just like that, and the second just like this..

Unfortunatelly, guys, i have been faced a huge problem here on my 3dsMAX. Every time i open a scene on the program, the memory usage skyrocket. A simple 85 MB scene eats 1500 MB of my RAM, as i have only 2 GB RAM on my PC. So, until i can fix it, the modeling process will remain stopped. Limited only working on textures

Last time I had 2gb ram was when I was using my netbook. I'd dread using a modeling program or anything like that on a computer with any less than 4gb lol as windows itself eats up a big chunk. I sure hope I can learn how to model as I have got 16gb ram in my mac so it'd go really smoothly if I knew how to. Hopefully I will be able to learn

 

What's the max amount of ram your computer is able to take? Crucial has quite far prices

 

Edit: I have that sort of problem with photoshop. Often I see it's hogging all my 16gb ram even though all I've been doing is editing a couple of raw photos which are no more than 30mb each. Luckily OS X doesn't grind to a halt as easy as Windows though :L

Some very basic work on Photoshop today.

 

First try to make a Gostown flag (First version). A flag will be very useful as basis for another Gostown logotypes, such as the police dept logo. and Govt. buildings

 

 

 

 

 

 

Edit:

 

Changed the colors to match with the police decals and bus livery (Second Version).

 

Working now at the Police and Government logotype. Any suggestions will be welcome, and what one do you guys prefer?
