Where can I suggest ideas for a new feature?

for gostown ? here .

I think you should add traffic paths to Laguna Seca so that there will be cars driving around it - mainly Infernuses and Turismos and other rare, fast cars. It would add quite a bit of atmosphere to it.

 

Also, where can I find a path editing tool for GTA IV?

can be will have his racing laguna seca, and another part on gostown .

for path editor , on tools section > GIMS .

The new file seems to be working great! Just a few ideas for improvement:

 

1. All the cars seem to be adhering to a speed limit. I think you should remove the speed limit so that cars will actually be speeding around the track. This would also have the side effect of creating accidents, which would be realistic.

2. If possible, try not to have so many cars on the track. With this many cars and no speed limit, it would be hard getting onto the track.

3. Add paths to the pit lane, and mark each pit box as a parking space, so that people will park their cars and get out, as if they're taking a break from racing at the moment.

4. Place paths on the road which leads into the track's infield where all the cars are parked (the road that leads over the track and past the demolition derby arena), and place parking spaces within the infield. Also, place pedestrian paths on the infield. These would give the track a nice ambient quality as you explore it.

 

That's all the suggestions I have. When you're done, I'd love to test the new paths file with these features. smile.gif

 

Edit: The game seems to freeze whenever there's someone chasing me. Strange.

1. The track has the flag of the highway, a further increase in speed of cars is not technically possible

2. The density has value 20 on the roadways. The big number of cars is a bug of Gostown.

It looks like a totally different city with that mine, the little beachhouse on the island the the pier!

 

I was a beta-tester for beta 2, do I still have acess to the dropbox files?

I think it's realistic. Whatever they're mining, in real life it would be ten times more expensive to import it, so it would be best to mine it at home rather than having to buy it. smile.gif

There are fewer cars on the track in the new version, which should make it easier to get on the track and drive on it. As for the game freezing whenever someone is chasing me at Laguna Seca, it also turns out that whenever any of the AI drivers decides to go faster than the track's speed limit the game freezes.

 

Anyway, here are the paths I have in mind:

OK, so I JUST got OpenIV to work for me (kept hanging when I tried to import the node files), and here's the situation. Most of the pathfinding works amazingly well, however, on the front straight, the cars are going backwards. The traffic going the correct way has to dive down pit lane to avoid it, creating a ball of cars just before the final turn. Other than that, it's fine. smile.gif

As you can see, I'm facing Turn 1, and the traffic is going the wrong way. Although I wasn't able to get a screen of it, it also appears that these cars are headed to the entrance of pit road for whatever reason, which contributes to the ball of cars that has been created there.

Have you tried playing around with your firewall settings? 5 kbps is unnaturally slow; maybe you have some setting screwed up somewhere. Failing issues with your firewall, try adjusting your internet settings.

Hmm. Time to buy a faster Internet connection, then. If I had a 120kbps connection, I'd die of boredom in the time it would take me to download a song from iTunes.

lt runs fine

before l could press ESC

now lf l do it crashes the game

go to gtagostown/pc/data/maps/gp/gostown6/ here , remove hotel's folder .
