I prefer the ENB pics

Then you dont care about atmosphere at all, there is no feeling in your screens with ice, the ones from terreur express a lot of life and feeling.

I actually dó care about atmosphere, and I think IV has a nice one, but the one from ENB absolutely doés have an awesome feeling turn.gif

How do you mean no feeling? It's very nice and sharp, which actually doés give a good feeling.

@Gforce, your right except that you get a big problem using your method. The outisde ocean is hardcoded on z level 0, so if u lower the water around gostown, it will be 130 meters below the ocean, it will look really bad, you will see a endless hole.

i just tested the water at -130 and it doesn't even show, it's well below the lower limit of the map anyway lol.gif

Imho the best option as a workaround would be something that makes use of the asi system by Alex Blade, but given the previous GTA game historical limits regarding paths boundaries i wouldn't hold my breath on there being a solution any time soon, although i do know that with a full 6* wanted level the cops will chase you beyond the X&Y limits.

A possablilty. Maybe one of the taxi bug fix scripts will fix the paths.

i think you should reduce the specular (is that what it is callled?, the shiny road) on the pebbles to the bare minumum (just enough to shine slightly but not too much to make it look wet) and leave the paint like that (paint shines)

Wait wait wait, you now have paths in the city? How did you do it? Did the taxi bug fix work?

no, it's the highest point on the nod for gostown .

Well my best bet is that you move the map to the center of the mapable area, then lower it. Then in city scape make backround terrain. It can be placed in the map, but hang outside the bounds. It will look fine from inside the map. That will cover up the outside water, and it will give us more to look at. It will also allow you to put paths in the city.

Damn it. Maybe you can go higher than that. Maybe atleast enough to squeze the paths in there. f*ck, game engine limits are really annoying. Based on the fact that their settings that can be changed by Rockstar, but not modders because its hardcoded. Maybe someone will crack it.

So,upon release, would this be compatible with the latest patch? 1.0.7.0? And when is this going to be released?

will be compatible GTAIV 1.0.4.0 /1.0.7.0 and EFLC , for release , when the maps would have no bug .

I agree remove the specular textures from the road, road never shines like that, that's what I always hated in IV. Simply leave the normal map, and add an all black texture for the specular.

Another reason to save money for new PC and buy GTA: IV. That's something like 46832nd reason to buy new PC.

I thought I would state a possable method to get turquoise water near the shores, and blue water everwhere else.

If you make the sea bed and tint it so its turquoise, and make the water more transparent that should work out nicely. Then you make the water color the color of the ocean water. I noticed that some make all the water turquoise but this way it will only show up where the water is shallow. This is something the Vice City Rage team should try to do as well.

What do you think about this?
