mkey82
For one, that's a weak laptop for GTAIV. This issue you are having probably indicates overheating problems or faulty hardware, being the GPU. You should try running some GPU intensive benchmarks to test it, like rthdrible or PC mark. I tested my CPUs with OCCT and here are results I chose 1h test, but software automatically stopped testing after 2mins and said "CPU too hot!". You were right! So now I know that overheating is the problem, but is there any ways to fix this? Or do I have to sell my GTA?

pegi007
for overheating: put your notebook on some good place (like table) with lot of space around it and no dust , you can try clean your laptop because mosty overheating is because of dust and buy something like this http://www.isso.sk/uimg/belkinchladiacapodlozka1.jpg for commandline see this topic: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=404147
mkey82
Did you by any chance turn off the CPU speed throttle in BIOS? If yes, you will want to revert that setting to the default. memrestrict or any other commandline switch will not help with this, you should fix the overheating issue first, as your hardware may become damaged. mkey82
Go into BIOS ( http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000192.htm ) and find some option like throttle CPU speed. It's probably under Power menu or something of the sort.
