Mr. Bacon
I've been reading some of the posts and saw quite a few of them discussing from a point of view that the next game will pit you as a member of a gang. I do believe this is quite possible, but something just hit me. Rockstar tries to sell their games off of both inovation and sticking with the fun stuff, right? (just look at all the 'inovating' in GTA IV) Well, it just so happenes that almost all crime games involve the player being in a gang or mafia, mainly for a motive, secondary objective, ect. But 2 of the 3 GTA IV Era stories so far didn't even use gang members. (Niko as a free-lancer and Luis as a bodygaurd, though he does help gang members...still) as their main characters. So, do you think that, maybe, the next GTA (IV or V era) could possibly feature a character that isn't directlly involved in a gang or mafia? Just for inovation. Doesn't mean you can't become pals with some wiseguys, but, hey, maybe? And yes, I know IV's main poinnt was to ask what the American dream was/is, but who says they still aren't asking that? Anyone? Akavari
I don't mind the gang member story at all, as long as they innovate it so you can use your gang to your advantage.
CryptReaperDorian
I wouldn't mind a gang story as long as it isn't very obvious. Most gang stories have a too obvious plot. First your gang gets pissed off at another gang (or vice-versa). Then somebody in your gang backstabs you. Finally, you kill that backstabbing piece of sh*t. visionist
I think it's high time you got to run your own gang in GTA. I want a riches to better riches story where you start off as somebody important and can issue orders from the get go. You would still get your hands dirty because that's what the story would be about
mrpain
I too don't mind a gang story but just don't make a protagonist like CJ. I have nothing against blacks but come on CJ was a poor leading man. Would love to see a proper black gang member being done.

He was a homicidal type of guy who wasn't down with being a bitch. A true leader.
Izzi
A gang story would be awesome, as long as it ain't like TLAD...
Finn 7 five 11
I love the idea of having a gang, and getting to do missions for your homies, it makes the game a lot more personal, it really brings you into the story, even though SA was a little far fetched in terms of all the stuff that happened in SF and LV, it was still a more personal story than GTA IV, the whole bringing the gang up from the ground thing was great. Emm Ell
Mis-read. Could you be a little clearer on what your idea/question/point is?
