Nin-jah
Hi there, I just need info, I've seen several COD4 mods, but I want to mod by myself. Is there a tutorial for that? BTW, I'm using 3ds max 9. Thanks.
Mr. Kingpin
Lol I don't think you can convert COD4 models to DFF.
seggaeman
There are programs here that can import/export Call of Duty 4 models and convert to .obj. After your model is in .OBJ format bring it into 3ds max or Zmodeler2 and convert it to .DFF

I did that, but now have another problem: the object don't have "interior" texture, its invisible, transparent, but only by one side; it also in wrong place. I can send image, if someone want to help me.
seggaeman
Yes you export with KAM's script for 3ds max. I haven't exported anything to the game with that script yet. But I can suggest some possible explanations. Parts out of position: Check that the mesh and parent "..._dummy" pivots are at the same position. For example if you have a bump_front_ok (mesh) whose parent is bump_front_dummy (dummy node) put their respective pivots at the same location. To do this click the "hierarchy" tab on the left side of the 3ds max window, click "affect pivot only" and move or "align to world" as appropriate. Invisible parts: create your glass material last. coin-god
If you want to convert characters you have to rig them. If you want to convert weapons you have to configure them before exporting. But anyways, discussion about converting from other games is not allowed in here.
Nin-jah
Not even discuss? I just want to learn modding, not to release mods... anyway thanks for the help, I'll try what you told me
