Girish
He's asking whether you're playing the game from the disc or if you're using a no-cd crack to bypass the use of the disc. Try this - uninstall the game, delete all leftover files (if any), delete the gta_sa.set file from the User Files folder and then reinstall the game. Let us know if it helped. lil weasel
Let's start again. From the Top: What Version do you Have? Did the game play correctly before you mucked about with Mods? PROBLEM SOLVING: If you have changed OS or Screen settings, If your system upgraded anything (drivers, etc) Delete the GTA_SA.set File. Are you playing the game in W98/XP mode, with Administrative Privileges? And... before people here begin investing a lot of time trying to fix a possible NO-FIX situation: How are you playing: 1. With the Original DVD in the Drive? 2. OR are you Using a 'backup' disc? 3. Are you Using a No-CD program or crack? 4. OR a Downloaded game from Direct2Drive, or SteamPower.com 5. Other source? Please specify. Also: • Operating system (Windows 7, XP or Vista, and which Service Pack you have) • Video/Graphics card type and dedicated graphics memory (or shared memory?) • Processor • RAM (random access memory) • If you have installed mods, search or post a topic in the MODDING forum Answering these questions may help to identify the problem girishb[/b] Posted Dec 15 2008, 15:42]If you're on Vista, you'll need to do this: 1) Uninstall SA. 2) Delete the installation folder if it still exists. (e.g. C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas). 3) Delete the Virtual Store copy of the installation folder too. The Appdata folder might be hidden. (e.g. C:\Users\???\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas). 4) Delete the gta_sa.set file from your user files folder. 5) Reboot. 6) Reinstall SA. Don't put any mods into the game until you are sure it plays correctly.

lil weasel
There is No patch for the Version 2 game. All official updates were included on its release. So... if you 'patched' it that could be a problem.

lil weasel
You said the game plays ok before you 'patched' it. That would make me think the 'patch' and/or mods installed are the problem.
