Miro
Hello, I usually don't have problems with my GTA San Andreas, but I keep on having a bug when I try to do Cesar Vialpando SNPs. I haven't tried the mission on my personal save yet, but I think it won't work. So, let me explain the error. Every time I get at the place where the mission happens, I have a glitch. The arrows appear always overdrive the circle. So I can't get a point. Every time it says either too late or too early. The arrows appear and disappear randomly and I can't get any of them. I'm not using any mods. No cracks or anything else. I just have installed DYOM recently but I'm pretty sure that's not the reason. My PC specs would be these: System: Microsoft Windows XP Version 2002 Service Pack 3 ComputerAMD Athlon X2 240 Processor 2.81 GHz, 2.00 GB of RAM Physical Address Extension Has anyone any idea what's wrong? And how can I fix this thing? Dead (Retired)
Girish
What video card do you have? Have you tried turning on the Frame Limiter, if it is off? Your problem could also be related to the timing issue that Windows XP has with dual core AMD processors. If toggling the Frame Limiter does not work, try installing the AMD Dual-Core Optimizer. Arsen Vitiuk
miromiro, don't beat yourself up about it. Both me and lol232 tried to do Jank's SNP and we both had a glitch in the mission. You're not the problem.
Miro
Thanks girishb, but neither turning the Frame Limiter off didn't work, nor the AMD Dual-Core Optimizer worked. I don't know why this thing happens. Arsen, it's not only this SNP. I happened some time ago too in this topic when I had the same problem. Maybe if I try again with the older SNP, will it work? Girish
I suggest you try the mission on one of your own saves. Also, try running the game in Windows 98 compatibility mode. What about the mission 'Life's a Beach'? Do you face the same issue? Check that out too. And you haven't specified what video card you have? What settings do you play the game at? Do you face any lag during normal gameplay?
Miro
Well, sadly, it happens to my personal save too having the Frame Limiter on and off. I don't know what to do, how the hell can I fix it? Also, how do I find out what video card I have? I think I have a 2GB one. No other lag happens excepting this. Same goes for 'Life's a beach' too. lil weasel
.... I just have installed DYOM recently but I'm pretty sure that's not the reason. how did it play before? Don't disconsider any mod of the game for causing any problem.
Miro
I haven't used any other mods before. Only the All in one mod which is just a script change. I've had this problem too in the past, but happened only once. Dead (Retired)
Girish
Have you tried a version 1 or a version 2 savefile? I'm not sure whether Spaceeinstein's All in One mod has this glitch but script mods could very well cause this. Also, I suggest you reinstall the game and try the mission on a clean install with no mods whatsoever. Get back to us with your observations. To find out your video card, go to Start > Run > Type "dxdiag" (without quotes) > Display. Here, you can see the name of your video card and the supported video memory. Mainland Marauder
It's not really a glitch but just a synchronization problem that's hardware-related. This also effects similar missions like "Life's A Beach" or the dance date/minigame. To test it without doing a mission, you might go in the dance club and go to the floor to start the dance. Then after you get it sorted you might go back and try the Cesar mission again. "You tell me exactly what you want, and I'll explain to you very carefully why it cannot be."
