Map Cleaner isn't working any more

duh, thats what im saying lol

thats why you probably thought that no IPL was running...

maybe an OLDER version of map cleaner created a blank IPL and defaultly loaded it in gta.dat...

1. In the cleaned gta.dat is # in front of every file so how do you think that it can load the IPL?

2. I have the newest version of map cleaner

1.not EVERY line...only on the original IPLs, LAS.IPL and stuff like that

2.i have no idea how is that possible, but you are lucky, most people have a hard time with that part, the game crashes when loading, it flashes and crashes

3.do you leave the recommended IDE's when it allows you to choose?

the "generic" folder should still be used by default, i tried to remove them all once

and the game crashed

maybe thats the problem

I was in a hurry, I made a mistake... biggrin.gif I wouldn't say that you don't need any objects at all but you don't need to add new objects with mapcleaner0.5rc1 to works...

 

@topo Maybe you can tell us more... waht you did before etc and are you sure you are using a clean install ? If not then that's the f****** problem...

Well, I wanted to install vans123's GTA IV to SA. In readme read like this:

A)-Map clean your GTA San Andreas with Map cleaner, a tool made by Steve-M

you can get it from his wesbite: "www.steve-m.com", downloads section

 

B)Once you are sure your GTA San Andreas works map cleaned and all you have is a big mass of water in your GTA San Andreas as

map, then you do this.....

 

So I did this, cleaned map, replaced water.dat, main.scm and then went to test and it crashed at 3/4 of loading.

 

EDIT: I'm always using fresh installation when I use map cleaner & install total conversions.

try putting the map cleaner's basic map

and there is another main.scm...which i just dont remember its name lol
