free webhosting

For years i have been searching for a free webhost that suits my needs. enough space, fast fpt transfer and realiability. i've been using 000webhost because it offers 1.5 gigs of free space. i believe it to be best free host around the internet. i've made a bunch of sites and hosted them there. i'd ask you to check out the link and see what it has to offer. you will find full account information on their homepage.

 

I also made a post on the former XtremPC forum community where i made a sticky about free webhosting. check out this external link. the article is in romanian so if there are any problems please send me a pm. A few link posted in that article are broken but most of them work.

 

This post is for those like me who believe that there are many good thinks and also free. The internet is free!!

I spent many years trying out countless free hosting sites. The site I finally stuck with was http://www.spooktech.org/ which was set up my an old friend of mine. Although you only get 20mb free, it is usually enough for most small sites where you are just hosting a selection of small app's.

 

Though in past couple of years I have paid for my hosting. The main attraction I found was when you pay for hosting you get no bother and everything gets setup how you like it. Some free sites I used would change there addressing every so often or if you were on a free account, it would be yours that got kicked about the servers whenever they needed to make space.

 

Fair enough, when you are young or doing non-profit stuff, you cant afford to pay for hosting so you are happy to put up with the sh*t. But now that I am in a position to afford hosting I would hate to have to go back to the free ones.

 

Mind you, I do fondly remember my years hosting a rather large site across both Angelfire and Geocities, which were the big players way back in the early 2000's. Had to have them mirrored since Angelfire kept taking my site down when they discovered I had javascript on the site that would block any of their adverts showing up .

O' and the sleepless nights I would be up working on my own server (also coded my own HTTP server app). Used to get phoned at 3 in the morning by some idiot desperate to download something.

 

Good times... but good riddance .

Sound nice...but 20 mbs is kinda' little...these days. As you said, it's good for small websites.

I think was my old webhost has been down last year because very much spammers and asking that question For 2 times that can i do just make my new webhost and Try for upload my favorite mod.
