I think you should just use some great timecyc.dat, I can't see any difference in my game while changing from lowest to highest draw distance (except that gray bug).

 

 

PS. Using UGE 2.4 timecyc. smile.gif

I see a great difference while changing draw distance. That is why I requested the mod. I do use 'great' timecyc.dat mods (Lil'Q, Shaker, Project Reality .. etc) I even tried it with the 10x Draw Distance timecyc, but didn't have the effect I was after.

 

I think ThirteenAG may have solved my problem, I will check tonight

I played with it for a few minutes last night, testing in the places that I ususally get missing ground if I look straight down, and it seemed to work fine.

 

If I have time tonight, I'll play with the values, and see what I can come up with.

I'm using 1.9; and have had no errors yet.

 

Is it possible to extend the distance that textures from particle.txd are drawn, and the same with shadows? I only see them like 10ft in front of me.. sad.gif

Yeah, something with draw distance controlling would be cool. And also the "cars-have-same-color-after-blowing-up-as-they-had-before-blowing-up" would be cool, as it's one of the only reasons I would play with "Very High FX", but other stuff makes me lagg... confused.gif

Ahh, I just solved it recoloring cars via script. I haven't much experience to find&fix that in .exe.

One great way would be just checking what memory-addresses get changed when you switch from Low to Very High FX, and then just check which one of those affects wrecked car coloring.

Anyway to remove that annoying fog crap when it rains (weather 8-9)? And maybe the in-built lightning (I prefer ZAZ's)

 

Its just way to bright during rainy weather otherwise. I just want the rain ..

The draw distance of the clouds? Can this limit be exceeded?

@methodunderg - what d'yeh want cloud height for? I tried it out and saw no effect.

I don't see any effect either when adjusting the cloud height either; other than the birds flying at a lower altitude. Maybe this is the same case for the method you used?

Any chance to enable only car shadow and disable other map shadow like lamp posts? The map shadow really lags my game but the game looks unrealistic without the car shadow ;P THx for helping

Like.. enabling static shadow under car (the one from low quality), when dynamic shadows are also enabled? area under car will look more natural then.

Then you're likely using a wrong EXE version, which the mod cannot support.

Crashing just by putting the .cs file in cleo (4.3) tried with hoodlum and compact exe both crash!

Sorry for the bump but I've got a little question

I like playing GTA SA with Very High FX because all that smoke and sh*t. Explosions and much more smoke lol and the grass, I like them.

But the shadows at Very High FX are fugly IMO, especially coming from trees but in general every shadow.

Is it possible to just have the "shadows" like when the FX is set on Low?

I tried the Shadow Settings Extender but it completely disables every shadow.

yeah, worked for me, it would be great if someone could re-write this script for CLEO 4. Its not completely stable because some settings like "noblur" can cause FPS loss.

I doubt that, but if it's true, that's amazing :p

 

This thing performs simple hacks on certain constant settings in the game that people with certain computer set-ups might want to configure. If changing something makes your game worse, change it back.

"framedelay" only applies after I enter a vehicle since Cleo 4.3.

 

Tryed on different computers, currently on a netbook with a very crappy graphics card where this behavior is extremely noticable.

From ~6 FPS before entering a vehicle to ~20 FPS after entering.
