GTA San Andreas Modification

I'm not sure where to post this, but i'm totally stuck on this,

I have GTA San Andreas v1, and my laptop is running Windows Vista,

In my GTA San Andreas User Files, there is a Gallery folder, User tracks folder, two DAT files, and a SAT file,

When I download a gamesave, (.b file), and load it in game, my game either crashes, or starts a new game

I would appreciate it so much if someone could help me

okay so mine works fine and i only have the .set file and my saves in there apart from my "empty" gallery and "usertracks" folders so why dont you back up your GTA SA userfiles folder and delete the two .DAT files and the .SAT file and see what happens ?
