no dvd for episodes from liberty city

Recommended Posts

I've got a licence key and installed the game with original image, now I've faced a problem with starting the game since I need a copy disc of episodes from liberty city, which I don't have.

Can't run EFLP via original GTA 4, it gets me a message to buy / confirm download (then error).

So I just need to find a proper (not crack, just no dvd) LaunchEFLC.exe to start this game.

Any clues? I searched for no dvds, but they all seem to be cracks, which I don't need since I bought cd-key to play EPFL via multiplayer.

Lemme try to comprehend this - you bought GTA IV and are expecting to play EFLC without buying EFLC? And you bought just the cd-key to play EFLC? Umm, dude, I think you've been tricked. You need to get the EFLC disc in order to play it, not just the cd-key. Downloading LaunchEFLC.exe isn't going to help either.

I wasn't "tricked" as you said, the license key is legit.

Can't believe there's no dvd for EFLC, for example, there's for original GTA4, anyway, this whole idea with inserting original disc into dvd-rom is crap, even those who own discs would like to have no dvd.

u need the god damn game to play it, IV don't have any of the files for TBoGT and TLaD so u actually got tricked. it doesn't matter if the license key is legal, u still need the disc for the game to install it. IV and EFLC aren't in the same folder and they're not using the same files to start up.

No, those are separate games. What you're trying to do is download the DLC packages from MS, but those cost money. Episodes are sold both separately and on one game disk, but you need a separate CD key anyway.

If you buy the game and download it through gta 4 menu, then later you'll be able to launch it from gta 4 menu?

I installed the game using original image, but these both games didn't link up with each other, so when I click on play the lost or gay tony from gta 4 menu it gets me a message to buy the game, although having it installed on pc already.

Anyway, I knew I'm buying just cd-key, I didn't expect it will be troublesome to get a no-dvd afterwards.

if u bought it through GFWL, then it's another story, i can't help with the downloaded version.

Okay, I'm still confused. Have you or have you not purchased EFLC? And I'm talking about the game, not just the cd-key and not the original GTA IV.

Even on my GTA IV menu, I have an option to play the episodes. However, that does not mean I can because I haven't purchased any of the episodes. What you probably have is only the support to play the episodes and not the actual episodes. For people who had purchased the game earlier, this support was added via one of the patches. You will still need to purchase EFLC separately.

I bought a cd-key, then installed the game using original image (daemon tools) ~15 GB.

Anyway, my issue has been resolved by installing patch 1.0.2.0., it includes no dvd as it seems.

still, a question to those who can launch both the lost and damned and gay toni games via gta 4 menu, how did you install the game? You just bought it through gta 4 menu and then proceeded to download it? Or bought a game with dvd-disc and cd-key? Box? And then just installed following instructions of autorun?
